Saturday'd be better for me, then. Simply because of the timezone gap.

Re: Japan builds a Gundam statue!

I don't think control is the issue. With advances in robotics, a mobile suit is certainly feasable. *cough* crazy thing is. I wouldn't put it past them to try and build real mobile suits. They've done basic mechs, and even the Americans are getting in on the exoskeleton gig (such as this one by Loc...

Re: Reminiscing about the olden times

The DH: Lore games that MGT made have stuff like that, and the Mechassault game had a built in planetary type system as well. I am afraid though, that pure MW is kaput, though I do see the occasional fan thing now and then. COUGH I say. COUGH. http://forum.beta.instantaction.com/smf/index.php/board...

Re: Reminiscing about the olden times

Sorry Quiz - I'm still waiting for a game to capture my imagination again (like MW) then I'll be back - for now I lurk professionally. Though for the record I'm still SSX through and through! Get yourself an XBox 360 if you haven't got one already - I need more people to play Test Drive with :thumb:

Re: Red Faction 3 Fun Facts: The right tool for the right job

A couple of little tips I've found: Arc Welder - conserving ammo. Zap 'em, then smack 'em. It only takes a tiny blast to stun them, and if there's more than one then switch yto your hammer for the smacking! Open back trucks and transporting people - be careful not to bump them too hard! I was rescui...

Singularity Bomb: Don't do what I did, think it was a mine because I'd picked it up and deployed it without reading the handbook. I stood around looking at it, then approached it thinking maybe it was a proximity mine (just to see what it did!), only to be thoroughly obliterated. Heavy trucks are go...

I wasn't too keen on the controls when I tried the 360 demo - I'm used to the whole 1st-person feel too, which this latest outing doesn't have.

At least people still run screaming when you attach an explosive to them :D

So what you're saying is, you liked it more when it was called Ace Combat? Don't think I've played a game called "Ace Combat" since 1985... actually, that was "Air Combat Emulator - A.C.E". Still, being unable to go to an aircraft-relatively-orientated view when using the craft ...

Re: H.A.W.X. anyone

This game had so much potential, but they ruined it with a single camera angle. In "unassisted mode" you're stuck in an external view with the camera pointing towards your target and not your direction of flight. It makes it very hard to line up shots, to know where you're going or even wh...
