Re: ESO, who's going to be down with it?

Read a preview thingy on Ars, really put me off - it seems the freedom, that one delicious helping of Win Pie that made TES, has vanished in a WoW-esque zoning setup with fixed-level mobs.

Probably just as well, I shouldn't go getting addicted to a new version of TES...

Didn't they get stuck on a tree for hours? There's also one of it being played by a random number generator somewhere.

Minecraft beginner's survival guide, by my 9yo

My 9yo boy loves Minecraft, and he was lacking homework this past half-term (he has to complete homework each day to earn computer time) so I challenged him to write a beginner's guide to Minecraft. So he came up with this. It's entirely his own work and he's very proud of it - so much so he wanted ...

While I do meet Batman's, I'm not gonna have you do all that! You've done enough already! No-one's claim'ed Hitman, and I've not actually played any of them..... :D

Well, glad I checked the requirements before accepting - my system won't run it, and there's no point just hoarding it!

Thanks tho! :)

Re: Shattered Star History - Input needed

The oldest Lore alpha installation file I have (yes, I still have them all !) has a datemark of 13th July 2004. It wasn't long after Ed got me onboard that I started pestering you lot. It's highlights (from an SSX perspective) would be Slacker & esd V All Comers, which Slacker and I won in Feb '...

Re: Game overview stickies

I'm guessing you mean similar to the official threads they do over on GAF ? That's pretty damn good indeed. I don't think we'd need to go quite that far, but yeah. Perhaps adding some of our activity to it? Eg, "Ssx is on xyz server, blah faction", and if applicable, ingame costs (again, ...

Re: Game overview stickies

Aye it's a good idea. This is something I've always like to do for the MMO groups I've been part of as well personally, the last one being TOR It's good, but not quite what I meant... no gameplay overview, for example. Think of it as an advert & starter thread for someone who'd not even heard o...

Game overview stickies

Was looking for more info on MWO, obviously started here. Noticed a lack of general info, then noticed it exists in all the groups. So my idea was this... A general info sticky for each, containing basics like an overview of gameplay, download/guide links, sysreqs, etc. Anny made me post this. Honest.

Re: For anyone with a Sony product: Compulsory ads

The way they did ads in Mercenaries 2 was quite good - billboards existed in the game, and the game downloaded ads and put them on them.

Unfortunately when they killed the ad server, they killed the game. Yup, EA.

Do so, Slack. Fen has dragged me into his club for now. Annoying bug with automatic gears at launch - sometimes you're stuck on the line for up-to 8 seconds before the silly sod puts it into 1st. No, I can't use automatic, hands aren't dexterous enough. And anny, yeah I've been about - dealing with ...

Re: Arbiter Candidates v.2011

I'll be honest here and say that I've been wondering for the last few months whether the Arbiter is actually necessary as a position any more.

Sure we don't need one... until we need one. And by that time it's a bit late to be arguing over arbiters!
