Well, enjoying Battlefield BC2 tremendously. Decided to simply register my Xbox gamer tag with EA to reap additional weapons, namely the M1 Garand, which I trained with many years ago in boot.

Initially it seems simple, sign into EA, join up your Xbox account. Nay, nay.
The EA site is rife with error, not to mention there are two sites which you can access, yet only one works - the other is an older glitchy version which seems to still be floating about.

Finally found the right site but no dice, seems it tells me my Xbox tag is taken. After a few hours (this was now an objective in life) I had to call EA support. At their advice, deleted my current EA account, re-registered under the same info as my Xbox, CS guy left me there with an 'all's well'. Once he left, not so. According to them I didn't own my Xbox acct. and ended up back at square one. Sent a mail stating my frustration after 6 hours of useless effort and trolling for such a simple thing - no reply.

For the dreadnaught which is EA to keep plowing forward and sucking up anything in the environment which has potential to show profit, they sure do leave a f*&k of a lot to be improved in their customer service, user friendliness, and net accessibility/interaction.

I feel your pain

Reminds me of the hell I had to go through back when I attempted to get EA's Battlefield 2142 Northern Strike Activated :smack:

I also feel your pain as I had issues with cross platform registering with EA as well. Don't get me started on Mercenaries 2. I cannot play that game online on the PS3 ever. I only bought that version to play online with my cousin. Guess who sold it back? EA tried to make right by giving me a free game but in the end i still couldn't play the game that i wanted. :(
