Amnesia: The Dark Descent is currently free on Steam until 10am Pacific tomorrow (which will be 6pm BST I believe).
Be sure to add it to your steam library if you don't already own it. One of the best horror games in years :thumb:

Only episode 1 is 50% off btw, the full season is 20%. That being £12.79 instead of £15.99. GMG had it in their VIP section for less up until just recently but you can still get it for 23% off from them (£12.32) with "SAVE23-WITHGM-GSEP15" :)

For anyone interested, FunStock Digital have some really good pre-order deals on atm.

Just pre-purchased
  • 2 copies of Cities: Skylines - After Dark (one for my bro)
  • Anno 2205
  • Assassin's Creed Syndicate Gold Edition
for £75.

Just to put that into perspective, the Gold Edition of AC Syndicate alone is £64.99 on Amazon. Anno 2205 is pretty pricey at £49.99 too. Incredible deal.
Discount code will work on any pre-order title over here. Some of which include; Fallout 4, FM2016, Just Cause 3, XCOM 2 etc. Use "SEP-COUPMAIL-PRE25" at checkout :thumb:

Do you know if those deals hold up to sales in the US?

Have you managed to get RA2 working? I just get a black screen which is annoying. Tried disabling Origin overlay but still no joy..

Their pricing looks to be a straight conversion from GBP to dollars so some of their deals will probably be better for you than others I guess. May be a good idea to compare with other places first if you're in the US, since stuff is usually cheaper for you guys when a site has regional pricing. As far as UK deals go though? I haven't come across better. If I had placed that same order on Amazon or Steam (Cities isn't on sale yet but it should be 10.99) it would have cost me £136. With the amount I've saved I could buy another 2 games from this place and still have money left over lol.

Debating whether to get The Division & maybe R6 Siege from them as well. Those are £50 each on Amazon, but £26 here with the discount. 2 for 1 basically lol. I've never bought from this site before today though so I can't vouch for them like I can GMG, however I have seen other people post deals from there before today. The Cities expansion is due out tomorrow though so I'll post if I have any probs :)

Haven't given it a go yet, I know I also grabbed RA3 during one of the free offers and I couldn't get that working though, would just crash in the first mission every time.

There's nothing jumping out at me atm (which I don't already have) but I would highly recommend This War of Mine. £4.68 with the voucher.

Steam sale dates:

Autumn Sale: Nov 25th - Dec 1st
Winter/Xmas Sale: Dec 22nd - Jan 4th

There will be no daily or flash sales this year. Instead:
Valve wrote:We'll still be highlighting your top games on the front page for 24-48 hour spans, but those products will stay at their most competitive discount, before and after being featured.

It's not a major change, but it does make the sale a lot more valuable for customers, and it allows us to build sale features that recommend your product all sale long, instead of just during its front page feature.

For a brand new release, if you can't get approval for your best discount for the full length of the sale, that's OK and we can work on a plan for that game. But the vast majority of your catalog should be running its best discount for the duration of the sale.
It remains to be seen whether these deals really will be their best discounts (meaning: as cheap as they would have been had they been a daily deal previously) but I guess we'll see. I hope so, but if they're going to be at this price for the duration of the sale I have a feeling they won't be. Will be happy to be proved wrong though.

Still, I'll be sad to see these go. Checking the Steam store each day at 6pm to see what the new dailies were (and every 12th hour for the flash sales) was part of the excitement for me. It was a surprise, it often lead to impulse buys (good for them), you would sometimes catch a pricing mistake (bad for them, though this didn't happen often) and it kept me coming back.
I can think of a few reasons why they might be changing it; refunds being one. People never seemed to learn that you should wait for the dailies! and just bought shit at random. Only to then complain when they saw it get a better deal later. It was the same every year lol. With Steam refunds (and assuming they hadn't played more than 2hrs or whatever) people could just claim a refund if they were silly enough to do that and then buy it again at the cheaper price. In part with that; it was always best to wait until the last day of the sale to buy something if it hadn't yet received said daily or flash sale, just incase it did. The new system will fix those so I can see the reasoning behind it, just think it's a shame as I say.

Giants: Citizen Kabuto is free on GOG this weekend until the end of their winter sale.

A true cross-genre classic with some great humor that's stuck with me through the years. At this price, you can't go wrong. ;)

Bought Hard West from GMG's sale already, and may get Undertale from the Steam sale as well since I'm always hearing good things about that game, even if it doesn't really appeal to me from the pictures (just look at the reviews & player impressions).

Not sure what else to buy tbh. Was hoping my Fav releases this year? thread would serve the same purpose but does anyone have any recommendations for picking up, which I may not have played yet? Preferably 2015 releases but can be a little older too.

Others I'm considering (though won't be buying all of em):
Albino Lullaby | Sunless Sea | STASIS | Kholat | The Vanishing of Ethan Carter | The Beginner's Guide | Grow Home | The Talos Principle

[Edit: Bought STASIS & Kholat, though from GMG. STASIS is £3.80 on GMG with "XMAS20-PERGMG-SVINGS" as opposed to £11.39 on Steam, and Kholat £6.00 with the voucher rather than £7.49]
[Edit2: STASIS from GMG was a pricing mistake and has gone back up in price. Tis still cheaper than Steam when used with the discount code though]

Posted this on Discord a bit since but:

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster | £11.99
· Use "FINAL25" at checkout for the above price.

Comes as a Steam key but if you buy it on Steam it'll cost you £15.99, or £19.99 after the 19th. Nice little saving there! :thumb:

Has anyone bought anything from the Steam sale yet? I picked up The Wolf Among Us (at last) but nothing else.

Is it just me or is the joy from these events gone these days, aside from the Gaben memes?

I've picked up:
- The Walking Dead: Michonne
- Layers of Fear
- Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight
Also pre-purchased Inside whilst I was at it as this caught my attention during E3 & has been getting some amazing reviews this week (out on July 7th for PC). Will probably buy Chronos from the Oculus store whilst they're having a sale too.

There are still some good deals to be had but the excitement of the daily deals & flash sales is definitely gone. yep. I wish they'd bring them back but with refunds now a thing, I can't see it happening unfortunately.

If any of you are looking for recommendations, have a look at these. They're all very different from one another, have discounts and are some of my fav releases from both this & last year :)
- Tales from the Borderlands (Anny can ignore this one as he already has it)
- Stardew Valley
- Firewatch
- Cities: Skylines
- Satellite Reign
- Her Story

I would have included Ori and the Blind Forest too but they've literally just released the definitive edition of that (which expands the game with new areas etc) and so there's no discount on that. Definitely worth playing if you haven't yet & enjoy Metroidvania type platformers, but I'd wait until the next sale where you're more likely to see a discount on it :thumb:

Thanks for the recommendations dude! Will take a look at those - hopefully another one or two that catch my eye :)

I still recommend Stellaris to any of you who don't have it yet! It's eating my life that game!

Humble Bundle are currently giving away Tropico 4 for free for anyone that might not have played it yet. Not the latest in the series but I've still played it a few times and will always recommend giving it a go if you haven't before.

And just a quick addon to that incase you haven't seen or have forgotten Ubisoft have been doing a monthly free game to celebrate their 30 years, right now its Rayman Origins and in a few days will be switching to The Crew.
