Who else is still keeping up with Naruto? I assume QD is (actually, QD probably reads the manga which puts him ahead of the anime itself). Winbrian? BD?

It's interesting to see how the overall storyline is starting to fall into place. We've had plenty of arcs now, but the overall picture is coming into focus. Each of Naruto's team is now being trained by one of the three Sannin. Looks like we'll be set up for a Jiraiya + Tsunade vs Orochimaru bonus round some time in the future.

Still waiting on Kakashi Gaiden in the anime though.

Ive heard of Naruto before but ive never actualy watched it. What is it about?

It's about ninjas. That should be all you need to know.

Naruto himself is about 12 at the start of the anime. The basic premise is that the ninja village of Konoha was attacked by a giant, nine-tailed fox. The fox was defeated by the leader of the village, who sealed it inside a newborn baby, who just happens to be Naruto. The leader himself has to sacrifice himself in the process. So Naruto grows up with everyone shunning him because when they look at him, they think of the fox (which killed a bunch of people when it attacked). Because of this, he's constantly trying to prove himself. And he usually manages it, on account of two things:

1) He's incredibly stubborn, to the point of being beaten up, stabbed, smashed through rocks etc. then still getting back up, and

2) When he's getting his ass kicked the fox tends to give him a hand in the form of a whole lot of chakra (energy basically).

The story takes a few episodes to get momentum before it gets going, and the filler episodes in between episodes vary a lot in quality. I'm really not a big fan of the comedy present in anime, so while some of the filler eps are midly amusing, others get a bit annoying. But the whole point of Naruto is the ninja battles, which simply kick ass. I think that if you liked Hellsing you'll probably enjoy Naruto once you get up to episode 10 or so. That's roughly where I got hooked. :P

QD doesn't read the manga, I do.

Personally waiting for the filler to end so I can watch it again. I'd prefer if they just stopped animating it until they were ready to continue with the storyline.

I personally enjoy the current filler (more so than the ones in the past). It's probably due to the weekly following of the manga, that I get bored of the actual weekly show now. I still watch them, but I don't get the preshow excitement that I get when watching say... Gundam Seed Destiny where I don't have a clue as to what's coming up.

Naruto as Anime doesn't really interest me all that much anymore alltogether.

Manga's way superior, but I tend to get stuck watching the anime because of the music and well.....seeing the stuff I read about animated.

I am up to ep 141.

I seem to be perpetual stuck at the Chunin Exam, watched a few eps of the anime from that point, then started reading Shonen Jump which is up to that point.

So yeah no spoilers.
(P.S. Dogbrow's team vs Sand Village team is what I'm waiting for.)

I keep up with the videos, but I don't read the mangas.

Really liked Naruto before the spinoff started. Now i just watch it to keep up with what has happened. Can't wait to the actual series to start again

I'm waiting for the filler arcs to end. Then I'll marathon em all at once

Watched Everysingle Eps. Movie, and Manga. Been keeping up. Fillers in the anime are a lil fun to watch.

I'm still waiting to know more about Naruto's past. I want to know about his parents, and things that happen between the time when He left with Jirai, and the time they came back.

Anyone else curious about Naruto's past?

tbh i dont :P hehe. Think we have gotten the most important part of his past.

The part with Jirai might be drawn/shown later on... But regarding his past, I wouldn't be surprised if they made that into an OVA.

Naruto has gotten to the point where it makes me question their sanity and creativity. I wonder how much lamer they can get at this rate.

The manga is really good, and so was the anime till they started with these damn fillers.

Will start watching it once the storyline gets back on track.

Hehe, yeah their creativity sucks atm Stories are just lame. The lastest one with the snotty kid was the worst one by far.

The producers of the Naruto anime did say howlong it would take before the fillers would end once, dunno if that was 10 or 20 episodes ago but it did say they'd have atleast 40 fillers so be ready for another halfyear of fillers ;/
Currently I just read the new manga chapters when they come out, I cba watching the dawn series. All those fillers everything that happens is just reruns of the past, Naruto never uses anything else then Rasengan and Kage Bunshin No Jutsu, it's not even fun watching anymore just annoying T_T.

The fillers are gotta end in 4 weeks, so its gotta get good again lol.
