Sixth episode so far out, but I'm liking it a lot.
The main theme, seems like it'll really be which brand of justice prevails, and for which reasons.
The bad guy and the good guy are given as two sides of a coin, and it's more or less up to the viewer to decide the extent of agreement or disagreement of the methods and actions taken by both to outsmart one another.
Script seems to have been well planned so far, a lot of mystery moments and chance happenings that tip the scales to each party's favor.
Anyway, so far, very recommended.

I've read the manga, I must say I love the entire Death Note storyline. Even though I already know what's going too happen I'm still jumping for every new episode that comes out.
I was quite skeptical at first seeing how Death Note has a lot of dialog , how would they keep it exciting? But they still did an amazing job, I especially loved how they did the scene where Light 'judges' people.

Episode Seven, heh, was probably one of the best episodes in all anime ever. The person who wrote the script is really a fantastic writer, deserving of an award.

I only saw the opening of that anime.
However, there is a movie on Death Note with real actors..
you must see the movie if you did not, it is VERY GREAT...
I must inform you tho, there are 2 movies, 1st movie ends where the 2nd movie starts, so you really want to see both actually..
I saw the first movie and will watch the second movie soon.

I have seen all the episodes that were up to date, and the story line gets sort-of corny at the 21 episode... = /
But I must say... Episode 19 is sad... very, very sad...
And yes... the guy who wrote the first half of the story is a GOD at planning out and writing! haha!

Don't read further if you havn't watched the entire DN series.
Still over all DN is a rock solid anime to be recommended.-

Yeah it was awesome until the normal anime would have run its course. Then they tried extending it or whatever and it ended up being epic fail.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. IIRC Mai Hime was to be only 12 episodes long, and then they extended that to regular after the great ratings and feedback, and it ended up being one of the best shows ever, so much so it warranted a full season sequel.
But egh. Not so here. Too bad, but them's the breaks.
