Episode 18 was the bomb. The set up was done nicely. This series totally makes up for the crapfest that was Seed.

Seems like everyone is having their own personal emotional crisis. Getting a bit difficult to keep track of everyones personal baggage. I have a feeling I know where this is gonna end up though.

One of my predictions is that Louise will kill that Throne cow that killed her parents.

Though I have not yet seen 19 (until tonight), my prediction is slowly gathering detail as the season rolls on.

I'm of the opinion that it'll be an 'everyone dies' ending, for one reason or another. Celestial Being get what they've been after all along, true peace, but have to sacrifice themselves in the process. Whilst I'm becoming more and more convinced of this as time goes on, however, I don't believe we'll run with effectively the same ending as last year but with everyone dying instead of just Lockon this time. 18 pretty much gave me a look at a credible way it may come about which I am currently mulling over - that being Anew.

We know that Lockon knows she's an Innovator, he's just keeping it quiet, and my prediction is that this will come back to bite him. We know that the Innovators can 'tap into' Anew's power from 18, and my theory goes that if they can do that they can trigger either dormant memories or a pre-programmed 'mission' she has been setup for - the fact that BD pointed out to me that at the close of last season she was in the shot of the Innovators with Ribbons further convinces me that this is likely. The mission, most likely to kill those on Ptolomy whilst the Gundams are otherwise engaged with the A-Laws and unable to assist, and the violence and death will spiral out from that incident.

That's how I think it'll end up currently anyway, though as I said I'm refining my theory after each episode currently. We'll see what happens.

I'm inclined to believe it's not that easy, too. Ribbons has always had something up his sleeve.

Didn't see Feldt coming though. Wonder what kind of track they're trying to take with her, out of the blue and all that.

I am sure it wasn't that easy either, but I surely didn't see it coming none the less. And yeah Feldt has some interesting character development. She has become more, 'alive', for lack of a better term. It's kind of funny, in the first season, I thought she was some sort of android or cyborg... and it turns out I was looking at the wrong person.

Wait... alright, I know I've got a bad memory, but was Anew in the first season? BTW, when they first introduced her in this season, my first thought was "Innovator!". Guess my intuition's not too dull.

I don't recall her in the first season. Doesn't mean she didn't show up at some point though. They have a way of sneaking people in. But with a name like Anew, it seemed very Innovaterish to me. ;p

BD mentioned to me that Anew was apparently in the scene at the very end of the first season, when Ribbons betrays Alejandro Corner and you see the Innovators arrayed around him.

Haven't had a chance to check this yet though, and as far as I can recall it would be the only time she appeared in Season One.

Seems like they are trying to wrap up a few loose ends a bit too quickly in my opinion. I have gone back and begun watching the first season. Good times.

Didn't quite have the climax to match the buildup, I'd say. They did a better job in the first season. I suspect it has something to do with this movie in the works. Ending is crippled due to the anticipation of a followup, a la Star Wars V's ending. I almost thought they were setting it up for a third season (as odd as it may have been) until they actually stated the movie would be out in 2010.

Well, good series regardless of the fumble. Disappointed? A bit. Wish the princess would've accidentally caught a stray missile or plasma bolt? Yep.

We knew about the movie for like five months now.

I thought it was pretty great through and through. S1 definitely was the strong point, they changed some things that I wasn't all that enthused with, and would've liked to have seen 00's spiral shield some more (and the anime to run in that vein) but other than that, really enjoyed the ride.

The ending was really <censored> superb though. There was nothing wrong about that.
