So the last of the shows from this season are starting to come to a close now. Got to say, Steins;Gate has proven itself to be most definately the show of the year for me so far - really enjoyed it. A lot of character building there at first, but much like Persona: Trinity Soul, the latter half of the show was fantastic. A solid 9/10 from me, and very close to taking a 10/10 outright.

They've also had a movie announced, which I'm now really looking forward to. I didn't realise it was popular enough in Japan as to warrant one, but I'm glad it is. The show definately deserves the following it seems to have.

Also, the notion of them doing OP/ED2 just for the last two episodes was very well thought out I felt. Thinking back, we never saw an OP or an ED before Okabe jumped to the Alpha world line, so the new ones were specific to the Beta world line - something that fits well with the notion of how divergent and seperate the world lines are. I am quite curious as to what they'd have been for the Steins Gate world line if there'd been another episode :)

And Christina/Hyouma ftw. So glad they brought her back through travel to the Steins Gate world line :)
"Perhaps this is what I have always wished for since that day. The loss and destruction of all. That's right, one must destroy before creating. In that case, if my conscience becomes a hindrance to me, then I will simply erase it. I have no other choice but to move forward....therefore!" - Lelouch vi Britannia/Zero, Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch

Forever an eXile and proud of it!

Tuturu!

Well Steins;Gate turned out much better than expected.
For the first half of the show I'd have given it an 8 but the latter half just got better and better as it progressed and it was because of all that character development building up that made those later arcs more effective. The last handful of episodes were amazingly well done, so good in fact that the finale, whilst still brilliant, didn't quite match up for me. Overall though I still decided to give it a 10 as (not counting the shows I marathon) it was one of the best shows I've watched this year. The majority of viewers have also rated it a 10 (39%) or a 9 (27%) so if you didn't pick it up last season it's definitely one to go back to. :thumb:
Hope the movie is a continuation. :)

The last series of "Fringe" did something very similar actually. If nobody has seen the show but plans on watching it do not read ahead, if you're not bothered read on;

In Fringe they dabble with parallel universes. In the last series rather than them cutting to 1-2 scenes in the parallel universe in a regular episode like they had done previously they started focusing entire episodes there. Once they started this they changed the opening credits to differentiate between the two. When the episode was taking place in the prime universe the OP would be tinted blue, however if the episode would be set in the parallel one it'd be tinted red and have different Fringe science wording related to that particular timeline. Pretty cool.
Fringe is awesome btw :p

Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!"
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare,
The lone and level sands stretch far away.
