Took a break from all the shooting we've been doing this week to go and play photographer for 5 whilst having a look at the 300 series. Pics:
350r is pretty sexy. Still blows me away how good this game can look.
Pics were downsampled from 4K
Since we're able to test drive the 300 series atm...

"My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings:
Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!"
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare,
The lone and level sands stretch far away.

Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare,
The lone and level sands stretch far away.

Took these ones as well:
Didn't take any more pics of the 300i (there are some here), just looks really bland compared to the others. M50 still wins in the looks department for me (out of the ships I've seen in person), though the 350r is a fine looking ship too

Don't forget the racetrack maps also. Can also get good and varied shots from them.
I really hope they add some more maps to play on as there's really no limitation on the creativity one can have with the skyboxes on them.

I was just thinking the same. Hope so too.BlackDove wrote:I really hope they add some more maps to play on as there's really no limitation on the creativity one can have with the skyboxes on them.
I'll have to use the race maps for more screenshots too, yep. Bit limited with just dying star & broken moon after a while.

I took the 350R (along with my Super Hornet) for a spin on one of the race tracks yesterday. The Super Hornet has never felt slow to me but when you go from flying one of those to a racer... kinda crazy at first lol. Takes a bit of getting used to!
Another good way for improving ship handling though, as well as utilizing the decoupled mode. Recorded a vid of them both:

Yeah, racing should generally be the first thing one does in order to master general handling.
When you know the racing map, what you do is you aim for the ring, decouple, and turn towards the next checkpoint. That way as soon as you pass the ring, you are already turned towards the next one, can just recouple and gun the boost.
Give it a try next time.
