I'm going to upgrade from a 325a to a Cutlass Black.
I know in the past that initial backers before a certain date had lifetime insurance on every ship they purchased.
I know a lot of folks would gift their ship to a friend with LI, who would then melt it down, repurchase it with LI, then gift it back to the original lender.
Does this still occur?
If so, anyone willing to help me out? I missed LI by a few weeks way back when.
Cheers,
Ozone

Once an item is gifted, it is locked to the account it's gifted to now.
I think they changed that to prevent abuse. And discourage the burgeoning grey market.
Far as keeping LTI if you upgrade, it worked for me when going from Aurora to Hornet to Super Hornet. Think it should still work. Upgrade wise.
