Should general forum moderators operate under the same rules as game group moderators?
In the current proposal, the difference would be all general forum moderators would be drawn from the overall pool of confirmed members, instead of being restricted to any one game groups membership.

Whatever rules we decide on for the game groups. Should they be the same (for instance, if hte game group vote passes, should we simply apply those rules to these moderators)?
Or do we have to split them off? I am in favor of making them the same, reduce red tape. So no matter what we decide for group moderators, it applies to the general forum moderators.

I always thought that group and global mods follow the same rules? I guess I dont' understand here. maybe you can give me an example where this was different in the past?

couple of disctinctions:
1) we don't have global mods yet, these are just teh general/members forum moderators
2) general forum moderators on the SSC were always a little different, they were often admins or global mods, as of today, we are not following that paradigm, these are just randome 4 peopel from the member list.
I think we talked this through on IRC, right?

Only exception should be if for some reason (luck) we get 4 people that are not present for months at a time or something heh.....
