It's true that you can play this game and not even think about PVP but for folks like Pad and myself, we have ideas in mind for PvP. I guess a question is, who is interested in PvP competition...
So I am asking is what we are doing for this peticular group? Are we going to be a serious competition type of group, or are we just gonna play for a bit and if PVP happens to come our way then whatever?
PvP or not to PvP... That is the question.

Still not sure just how much i'll end up playing Guildwars since i'm still playing lots of WoW (when my net's actually working that is), but i'd be one for lots of pvp once i reach high lvl.

Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare,
The lone and level sands stretch far away.

I'll put it simply, if we want a guild hall we need PVP
But let people get to a stage that they are comfortable with PVP, I'm fine with it especialy after NC2 where it is a constant force.

I feel ya serb, there is no massive rush... but its good to know a head of time what we plan to do overall.
Unlike the MMO PvP I participate in AC and SB, this is ladder based PvP and aside from rank and status, there IS going to be monetary competitions.
The main concern I have is that we have not had a serious team try and play in a ladder based competition game since Tribes.... and most of us who were there know how that turned out.
If we are going to be serious about it, then it will involve scheduled practices, designated roles, strategic balance, organizers, target callers, voice communication, etc.
I am sure we can succeed where our forebears failed, but it is going to take careful planning and teamwork.

I will play occasional PvP, but it will not be my driving force to play.
