I have prophecies, though havn't squeezed Nightfall into meh budget yet. Stinks to cuz I think it is the best thing to happen to Guildwars.
In nightfall you can recruit multiple heroes and control what powers they use..... niiiiice.

it depends on how you view the game. Most ppl that are the hardcore pvpers view the game as a failure because all they did for pvp was add more imbalanced skills and classes. Most builds you see now are pretty much the same thing that have been used for months now. Euro spike, searing flame eles with warriors, split builds and the random other builds that no one really uses. They are revamping the tournament structure, but its still not going to solve the fundamental problem with the game that there are too many skills in the game and a lot of those skills are really imbalanced to the point that if you don't run those skills your not going to survive. Granted Nightfall is great for pve but its the absolute pits for pvp. Chapter 2 was also pretty much crap for pvp with the exception of the two classes and granted the alliance battles are a bit fun to just mess around in and what not.....it still can't really be considered as true pvp which is coordinated team effort in accomplishing a goal. Assassins and riualists added a lot to the game, but chapter three characters are pretty much useless. Paragons are just another support character who isn't made to do damage and dervishes are just warrior replacements that are enchant heavy.

Even in PvE heroes are a mixed blessing. I find the game has lost a lot of the charm since finding a group to adventure with is now an optional choice.
The whole social element that was in Prophecies from the 'forced' grouping has now been significantly impacted with the Hero system, and not in a good way.
Hero's are a nice feature, and I can see other MMO's following on with similar concepts, but they have to be very careful in how they are implemented.

Nightfall is undoubtedly the best in the series so far in many respects, but for PvP it was a big letdown. It is not so much that there is only one way to go, but I, personally, was hoping for more of the Factions style Arborstone and Jade Quarry type encounters. The game, after all, is GuildWars. I just wish there were more types of wars your guild could get involved with.

I admit I loved arbostone ...jade quarry was kinda of a bust since no one ever goes there. Most of the time its still not so bad for groups and stuff. I mean if you want masters you need to get a group of real ppl.
