Exactly 4 weeks to go, you guys excited?! ;D
Assuming you guys will be playing this day one as well rather than later on in the year? Looking forward to receiving my collectors edition!

Still got 4 weeks to go mind, should be enough time to get that sorted, no? (or just do a card upgrade like BD & Rah?). I went from gaming on one PC to the other in less than a week :)
Also wtf SL33PY. How could you forget about TW3?! :p

Fair enough haha

Anyway, wasn't TW3 the only 2015 release you were interested in dude?. I do think you've missed out on some amazing games already this year with the likes of Ori and the Blind Forest, Cities: Skylines, Grim Fandango: Remastered & Life is Strange. Pillars of Eternity supposedly as well but I've yet to play that and I won't list Bloodborne as that's PS4. It must be nice to finally have a new release to get stuck into and push your system a bit? :D
Which version did you decide to go with in the end btw? Manage to secure yourself a collectors edition too? or just standard physical/digital?

This sums up my feelings towards the release completely.

As for my PC, really depends on money...not got it to spare just yet, but working on it!

Guess that's a definite no on the collectors edition then lol, PC version of that has been sold out since the week after they went up for pre-order last June. At least on Amazon :/

Ignoring all reviews and everything else due to potential spoilers, but those scores look incredibly encouraging :)

Expected nothing less from CDPR!

Aye, same :)

Not sure if you'll be interested in this, Anny (or anyone else) but the hardcover prima guide for this has been reduced from 20 quid to £13.59 on Amazon.
First Look - The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Collector's Edition Game Guide | Amazon Pre-order

I don't usually buy guide books but fancy getting one of these. Won't use the walkthrough stuff until replays so as not to spoil anything on my first playthrough but the maps and stuff should be very useful given how huge the game is.

This last stretch of waiting has been bloody crazy but we're finally here, guys. The Witcher 3 and our main candidate for GOTY (MGSV being the other for me) is finally here!

My CE arrived bright and early this morning:

You can expect lots of screenshots from me as usual, maybe even a video. We shall see. Have fun out there! :D

Steam unlocked my game at around 11pm last night, so i managed to play through the introduction section before hitting the sack.

I'll definitely be spending a few hours with it tonight.

How are you guys finding it? :)
Been playing it all evening myself and bloody loving it. Had a couple of crashes (one which required a reboot) and I rebound both dodge and target focus to my mouse as Alt & Z didn't feel too comfortable tbh (though I'll have probably gotten used to them with use), but all good other than that.
Actually spent most of my time exploring and doing side stuff so I'm still in White Orchard (the starting area) and haven't actually killed the griffin yet lol. Gonna end up sinking sooo much time into this game :D

Oh and whether the game went through a "downgrade" or not it still looks absolutely gorgeous. Runs great too!

I picked it up on PS4.
Excited, next gen system, top of the line HD plasma.
Love it, but... feel like I'm playing a game by Disney.
Regardless of settings I can't get rid of that 'Disney color' feeling.
Was hoping for something a bit more muted and 'realistic'.
Oh well.

Hmm, have you had a play around with your TV calibration stuff, Oz? Might be that your colours are a bit over saturated or something?. Only thing I can think of really as I'm not seeing the Disney coloured look on my end. Or should I say, not what I'd consider to be at least. WilStar, yes :)

Got some more screenshots to share anyhow:

and a short video too:

I have left White Orchard now but considering that's just the first area and I spent a good 11 or so hours there according to GOG Galaxy... tis a pretty huge game heh.
I may record another vid or two at some point, I'll see. There's no real spoilers in the above vid as I've included no cutscenes/dialogue and we saw a griffin fight at E3 last year.

Welcome new person :)

MS: do you follow the advice of nvidia or do you set everyting yourself?

I know our rigs don't differ that much, but with me it sets most stuff to high and not ultra :'(

Hey there, addseo. Welcome! :thumb:

SL33PY - I just hit the Ultra preset tbh with you and jumped straight in. My frame rate has been a pretty smooth 60 for the most part but I do see dips. Sometimes in cutscenes, or inside buildings for example. They've just released a new patch though (which includes some performance fixes) so that may fix that right up, will give it a whirl later.
I've been having a little fiddle with the grass distance and density too (all of my screenies are un-tweaked mind) but I'll see what my fps is like after the patch and then decide whether to keep those in or not :)

Yeah, the 2nd knob on the right makes it a bit darker, and if I turn the volume knob it all gets all crackley for a while until I knock the knob to the left. The antenna doesn't seem to be doing crap.
