I was talking with padishar last night and since he was drunk and couldn't remember all the suggestions I gave for anime and manga to watch and read I'm going to post it here so that he sees it and for anyone else that wants to see what I suggest.

Since Pad likes all the ninja and fighting stuff I recommend Naruto, Getbackers, Bleach, Flame of Recca.....these of course coming off the top of my head. There are a few other ones that I would recommend but then too many series would blow up anyone's mind so I'll leave it like this.
RA grade 5
Engineer - Fleet Escort

Romance Comedy Manga:

I's
Love Hina (goes farther and more indepth than the anime)
Midori no Hibi
Kimagure Orange Road (One of the original Romance/Comedy mangas, written in the 80's. Read it just cause it's a classic)

Sport Manga:
Slam Dunk (goes into the Nationals, which the anime didn't show)
Hajime no Ippo (goes farther than the anime)
Prince of Tennis (goes farther than the anime, into the Nationals, and more realistic )
Hikaru no Go (goes farther than the anime)

Action Manga:
Rurouni Kenshin (which goes farther than the TV series. The OVAs were based off the HUGE story arc taken place after the Shishio story arc)
Naruto
Berserk (goes way farther than the anime)
Bleach
Gantz (goes beyond the anime / differs from the last few eps in the anime)
Full Metal Alchemist (which differs from the anime)
Mai-Hime (completely different story)
Flame of Recca (goes farther than the anime)
Yuu Yuu Hakusho
X1999 (more indepth than the anime)

Mystery/Suspense (real page turners :D)
Monster
Death Note

Sure there're alot more, but I can't think of em off the top of my head. The ones listed are on my "top list".

Yes I have, Yes it is! One of the few anime I've actually purchased :nervous: lol. I do recommend it, as well as any other anime by Studio Ghibli

Thx Stracius, Princess Mononoke was really good :thumb:
The ending was a bit dark tho, and makes you question how much actually was acomplished with the huge amount life that was cost/paid.....

Just finished Samurai Champloo and Scryed. Both totally rock.

Samurai Champloo http://www.samuraichamploodvd.com/ - has 2 episodes that are COMPLETELY out of place and one episode that is just a filler while they rehash what has gone on before.... so you only really have to see 23 (out of 26) episodes. Ending is a lil anticlimatic, unfortunately....Was good, but was looking for more closure or something. Maybe they left it that way to milk it for more episodes ;D

Scryed http://www.scryedanime.com/ - this show took me a lil longer to get into initially, but had a much stronger finish. Plus once things got going, they took off and was a nonstop ride to the end. The ending is a bit open also, with the threat of more to come.....::Another Season Maybe????::

The movie had a ton of eye candy and will most definitely set the standard for animation to come in future anime movies...

However, I felt that the story was so-so and very predictable. Then again, it was based on an 80's manga so there have been plenty of copy-cats since then. All in all, I enjoyed it, but aside from the eye candy, it didn't blow me away

I did at first, but then I thought that either thread works, and if people want to post in this one, I can just take stuff from here and put it in the stickied one.

If people want to post in the stickied one, this one will drop and no harm done.

Basically just keeping everyone's options open.
