Friendly Mannoroth vs. Bladefist competition?

Post by Magdalena »

I vote we focus for now on collecting to open the gates...

Was thinking about starting a friendly competition with our Bladefist compadres to see which server gets there first...

Thought it might be fun, what do you guys think?

I like the idea. But I would have to say that Bladefist needs to get moving to catch up with us.

Yes, however keep in mind Bladefist I believe is a PVE server, so they do not have the hurdle of the chaotic 500vs500 Silithus involuntary PVP zone to contend with.

Notice the only servers advancing above us so far are PvE? Why? Because they can choose to simply turn off their PvP flag while farming and questing. We don't have that luxury and thus end up with PvP battles so big they continuously crash the server as they did last night.

So much for the brief fleeting moment of cease fire, hopefully we can get that back up and going, I'm tired of the server crashes.

Think the competition sounds like fun though. Healthy competition is good for the soul!

Nope, Bladefist is a PVP server. They'll have to go through the chaos of being ganked whilst farming too ;)

Your idea sounds like a good one Magdalena. If the EU people agree to it I say you should go for it :)

Oops, don't know where I heard it was PvE oh well... still fun and doable.... I just posted the challenge on their forums to see what they say, would really like to see both servers in the #1 and #2 positions...

Yup. Last night there was a battle of GIGANTIC proportions in Silithus ranging around 300+ alliance VS. 300+ horde going on for hours. Even in the outskirts of Silithus there was lag everywhere. The server crashed at least 3 times that I know of. Was pretty awesome. I guess the Mannoroth people got their answer to the question about outdoor raids ;)

That they did... I wasn't personally out there last night, I was out gathering ore to turn in and stuff... well, when I wasn't offline from all the crashes...

Here's my idea for the new party make-ups for farming:

Miner, Skinner, Fisher, Cook, Herbalist
(Some areas may just have a couple of the professions, also people gathering cloth for bandages)

Go where you need to gather what you need, try to keep tabs on each other in case of horde problems, work your stuff...

Good thing about working the gathering part is that people of all levels can do this. Still need lower level items like copper, tin, linen, wool, etc. that they can pick up while their adventuring too... and we'll be in areas to help them out real quick if need be.

That was a awsome battle. I would have stayed and continued it if the lag would have been less than 15secs LOL.

Yeah.. Lag is quite the party killer.
