I see no reason to let continue the membership of a fellow player who has time and time again refused to at least pretend to behave. I'm all for freedom of speech, but I'm also for people growing up enough to attempt maturity here and there.

I believe members have a level of decency they should at least try to keep above. Chill doesn't seem to care about it. He's got my vote to go.

I think at the very least its time for him to take a, forced or not, leave of absense from the forums. Getting tired of things like this now.

Whether or not he should remain in the WoW guild is up to MS, QD, and the other WoW mods, but I feel he's detracting from the forum community rather than adding to it. His time here on the forum (at least) needs to draw to a close.

(to me anyway) it's clear that Chill is joking. thing with Chill is, you have to know him to know whether he's joking or not.

i can fully understand you guys feel offended by this and think it shouldn't happen, but ingame, Chill is a very nice person and it was simply a (not very well thought over or w/e you English call it) joke, please dont think TOO harshly about it

Uhm Chill's just weird in his own ways he didn't mean anything by it, he didn't mean to offend anyone or anything he's a nice and fun person to hang out with and not hostile towards other people, this was just a little joke among friends...

Seeing how I said: Chill said something usefull he ofc had to prove me wrong, then when he tried to type his weirdo remark and there was filtering he said: DAMN YOU QUIZ! but I'm sure he didn't mean anything offensive with it even though it may look that way.

A bad joke but a joke none the less. In isolation it looks bad but in context to the thread it was taken out of well its a joke. Very very poor taste bad joke. Just forum ban him for a while.

Messiah, he has been warned on several occasions as well as him deleting his own posts that were modified pointing out not to do this type of stuff. If this were only the first time, I wouldn't have said what I said above.

i assume your refering to the post where i propositned QD with cyber?

that was split,moved,locked and deleted by 4 seperate mods

First of all, I've an small issue of BD's handling of this in IRC. The attitude conveyed was that this was over long before the issue was raised - That screams a little too much like the Confederate we left.

Having said that, based on the consensus that Chill has been a great help in WoW but a problem on the forums I have to agree with his removal. I commend Chill personally for being a great contribution to SSX-WoW and in any typical clan this wouldn't be as much a problem.

The Exiles are not a typical clan - Each group works in their games independantly but we all have the mentality that no one game is more important than the Exiles. If Chill can't respect that, then the SSX may not be the best place for him (note that I didn't say he should be kicked out).

My honest opinion is that this is a matter to be discussed between the leaders of SSX-WoW and the Arbiter. I have often advocated that groups' large issues be brought to everyone, but I've a firm concern that many Exiles not directly affected by this may be non-neutral or may not have the full picture.

Having not played with Chill previously I don't have an opinion of his general personality towards others or much of anything about him.

I do however tend to read the Bladefist forums from time to time and had seen this post, however I didn't find it to be meant as offensive. It looks to me in context as he was joking around with a friend. Personally I don't see a bit of harm in context with what was said here.

As for other warnings, I'd have to see the other posts in context to make a judgement on them. But based just on this one I wouldn't say he's deserving of a kick in any form.

Chill is a good guy... with a weakness for trolling & anti-authority. Those ppl he aims at may take it personal, thought its clearly ment as a joke. Weird - yes... immature - as well ... but for the sake of equality & freedom of speech, dont take it too serious.

Try to meet somewhere at half way instead & sort it out.

You posted twice with the exact same statement, so I deleted the extra one and modified the first to inform you not to do that anymore. I doubt that a mod would have deleted it if they had seen that I had edited it, so that leads me to believe that you removed it yourself. Unless someone will step forward and say they did it? (modded posts are rarely removed as that is the point of modding.)

And I am references more than just one incident ie, several occasions. Not to mention things that crossed my plate and had to be dealt with by redirection to MS,QD.

See, my problem is that we've tried.

If this were a matter of just this post I would agree with you. Just immature, just don't do it again, sorted. But this is about more than just this one post. It is about Chill's general behaviour on these forums.

Chill has had posts edited, moved, deleted, split, etc, before because they were inappropriate, and has been warned about this inappropriate behaviour too. Fairly regularly too. If your posts are being dealt with in this manner it sends a message that they are inappropriate. It sends a message that you're behaving unacceptably. But despite this Chill continues to act in this way, post over and over again in the same fashion.

He does not seem to be able to take a hint. I, and some others it seems, have grown tired of this. If he can't behave himself I don't think there's a place on this forum for him any more.

Though the differance is imo, none of his posts were meant offensive, ever. All hes doing is pulling the legs of the mods in charge with the power to silence him, occasionally even in a very funny way & occasionally with VERY bad taste. This aversion against authority is rooted very deep in chill from my understanding & though i know its the mods job... the reaction is just what the posts aim for - to blow it up into a drama for example. *points at this thread*

i apprecaite your post but in this case, its wrong

this post was a private joke between me and dodo, someone misinformed pulled it it out of the wow forum, out of context and started taking it apart, this thread was in no way an intention to set up drama, as none of my threads have been

when i do challenge the mods, alot of the time thats because im doing it on behalf of the other little people, not for myself

You're right, I don't have the full picture. And I suspect that a great many other people don't either. The problem is the picture he paints to us on the forums is quite a negative one. If he's been misunderstood (as everyone except what seems to be himself is claiming), then he needs to provide more clarification.

As is, he's causing problems that aren't necessary. If he can fix that, fine. If not, I don't see any reason to let him continue causing problems for all the rest of the people that "don't know him".

Something nice to come and read after not being at my PC all day.

Whether Chill is a nice guy ingame and only meant the post as a joke doesn't mean to say he can spam crap on the forums whenever he feels like it and get away with it forever.
Chill has infact had more posts of his edited, split, moved and deleted more than anyone else on our forums ever has, thats not a good thing in its self.

When i've edited/moved/split threads before i've said on a few occasions to plz stop with the spam, KJ has also warned him, yet he still goes on to post this stuff knowing full well they are going to get edited or moved. He knows full well its gonna cause trouble so why do it?
I deleted a post of Chills last week or the week before, yes, deleted. Only one post mind you and i actually said over IRC as i was doing it for anyone that was around at the time. It was a thread that simply said something along the lines of "Read this quick before it gets moved!!"...
He also bumped a thread a while ago which was about a year old, "just to piss MS off" were his words iirc. He only meant it as a joke towards me but as i said ingame to him at the time, its not appropriate on the forums.

Can i ask everyone defending Chill one question please.
Where do you draw the line?
