Mod Meeting

Alright, I think it's time we get in IRC and have a little chat about moderation, archives, approach, when to, how to, why to moderate and genral responsibilities and acceptable behaviors. We have some new folks and some old folks and I think it's time for a big reset.

I was thinking next weekend sometime.

Is anyone travelling Saturday or Sunday (4-5 days from now)?

I may be out of town this weekend. If not, Sunday is fine with me. The later the start the better, as long as we can accomodate our EU and other members.

This weekend is fine by me, although on Sunday anything after 11pm GMT will be out for me, I have college the next morning. Saturday I can stay up later though, and Friday too (although thats not technically the weekend).

Friday, saturday and sunday are fine, as long as it doesn't run over, I'm bogged down with uni work.

Well I'm still out of town at the moment. Err, yeah, btw I'm out of town :P . Anyhow, I don't expect to get back until early next week. I'll see if I can arrange to catch the meeting, but my uncle said something about a houseboat on the river this weekend... We'll see

I felt I should quickly point out, for those who might be confused by the subject of this thread, the meeting isn't for mods only

. It's a meeting about moderators. The more people that can attend the better *cough*everyone*cough*.

Mod meeting kind of implies 'meeting for mods' for me :P Thanks for pointing that out though.

Transparency is important. Improves accountability.

The people who NEED to be there are the people who moderate, but nobody gets turned away. I may ask people hold their tongues while we cover some ground, but we have always been an open, transparent group when it comes to decisions and decision making.

Sorry for the late reply.

I will most likely be busy (moving house again) sunday, so if we do go sunday I would prefer it to be very late (talking 11pm gmt or later realistically), and that's if I can force myself to stay up for that kinda time after travelling 300miles :\r

I will try be around though.

Saturday would be much more realistic pref afternoon..
Friday even easier (mid-late afternoon/evening)

I can always shove a chatlog of the meeting on to the website for those that can't make it i guess.
