recording g meetings
o i know this has been suggested before but i think that we should record the g meetings from now on so that what people say can be reviewed if nesecary especially bc people seem to have sketch memories
sean alos thinks recording the meetings is a good idea soooo sound off on it.

I think it is a good idea to post a summary for those that can't make it and to help keep track of decisions that are made....
Otherwise all rules would become hearsay or as memory permits or until folks move on to another game and those left have to guess all the rules
As far as actually recording it word for word tho? Why? Every single decision that is made doesn't need to be hammered into the ground or debated over. Some very important things that affect the SSX as a whole are a different matter... but those are few and far between.
If less then half of the people can make it, you can just reschedule the meeting. More then half, you have a majority.....
If something important is decided, sure plz post it so everyone is on the same page.
Sooner the better that way 'less' is forgotten hehe.
My 2 cents on that subject.
On the flip side, is there a recent issue you wish to debate for some reason? Meetings are weekly... so you only have to wait a couple more days for the next hehe.
All in all, everything seems to be handled wonderfully. Decisions have been very open and formal. When obsticles have arisen (or smacked ya in the face), actions have been swift and taken care of properly.

I think a recorded archive of guild meetings is a great idea. We don't need to post full transcripts of meetings on the forums. Putting up the highlights and results of each meeting are sufficient. Having a complete record of all meetings for future reference should one be needed is a good thing in my opinion.

i don't believe there is a mod on vent to do that....we usually just discuss the situations and vote on it based on what everyone has said....when mag posts the minutes meeting, that's usually when it gets recorded and posted.....Kahn wrote:Whenever something important goes on in IRC or in NC, we post the entire log, unabridged. I don't know if your chats in WoW are automatically logged, or if there is a mod that lets you do that, but if it is possible, do it.

I agree that we should post the notes taken by someone from every meeting that any decision other than new members is discussed. I see no reason to voice record our whole discussion, as we tend to go off topic a bit and most of it as in any meeting is not necessary to help us remember what was important. Much of what's in a meeting are personal feelings that in the end are not useful for anyone after the decision is made.

Also we talk about initates and their status...I don't know about everybody else, but personally if I was the initate, I don't want to hear about what people are saying about me good or bad. I would just want to know if I'm in or not. And if the initate didn't get in, we do a thing with a moderation and we like to keep it so that it doesn't feel like anyone is being accused and hearing the vent chat will probably make someone feel accused. Plus I'm not going to listen to over an hour of conversation when half of it is us goofing off. The minutes cover all the important stuff and is much easier to read if I do forget. I don't want to sort through or download a big file.
