Any NON PVP players?

I can't stand PVP. When I'm playing I don't want some random opposing member to run up and off me while I'm doing a quest. Makes me mad, and I've given up games for less.

So, is anyone else playing on a NON PVP server? (RP ok).

I'm on Feathermoon and Lightbringer. Mostly alliance, but will play Horde when I can (usually Tauren)

sorry bud....but most of us are on a pvp server....come on over...usually we go horde hunting when they mess with our lowbies...hehehe...

I got to the point on Dark Iron once where I had to go into contested territory, and just could not get anything done. Ticked me off to no end. I game to relax, not to get ticked off. So I stopped playing on PVP. /sigh

yea that suxs....but u know, it is fun to get to lvl 60 and do that to others too....lol...i know i have....

yea i go so far as getting another acct and gank req when he plays....hehehe...

I'm fairly new to SSX, and primarily play on a non pvp server. If you're interested, check out Uther (Horde) and send Zyprexa or Kohl a tell (that'd be me). Our group is friendly/family oriented as well. Lately we've been running instances like DM, LBRS/UBRS. Not quite big enough to run MC just yet, but we're working on building an alliance with a bigger group.

Don't get me wrong, I love to pvp, but I keep it for the BG's. Playing here on a pvp server is still very new for me.

Yeah same here. If I want to do pvp, I go to a BG. Great fun when I'm in the mood for it. Just not all the time. Guess I'm a wuss that way. LOL

Eh, to each their own. Me, I liked pvp when I played. Added an element of suspense for me, among other things. Not many replies about ppl playing on non-PvP servers so far. Well, if all else fails, nothing's stopping ya from starting a guild on one of the non-PvPs

True... I've got a fairly high level hunter on Feathermoon, and some characters scattered on Lightbringer. I'm no leader though...

Small question... does the RP servers have no pvp on them?

I thought the only difference in the PvP server was that it simply has contested areas sooner then the other servers....

But all still had them and battlegrounds.... or am I am wrong?

I'm with you Indigo, PVP sucks. I really can't stand that feeling of "OMG, there's a Horde, I'm going to die now" while trying to get a quest done. Even worse is getting ganked before I even know they're there. Unfortunately it goes with the territory of being on a PVP server so we just have to live with it.

I still can't stand it though.

RP servers you can become "flagged" by attacking or aiding an attacker of the horde. So if you heal a warrior as you run by and he's fighting Horde, boom - flagged.

So as long as you don't touch them, they can't touch you. Works that way on normal servers.

I hated PvP while leveling... well, actually I still hate PvP but that's just me... I only play on Mannoroth though because that's where all of my friends are... the game just isn't as much fun without friends to share it with.

Wouldn't take much effort Gutka... everything about my character is geared for PvE content making it really really suck at PvP... but its better for the group so it's what I do...

hmmm... then let me use my crappy priest and duel you... if you loose then you can take home suck at pvp title. otherwise suck at pvp title might belong to my priest.

Er thats partially correct. Other than playing in character there is no difference between a PVE sever and a RP sever.

To support this, I have snipped a quote directly from Blizzard itself.
"As far as game mechanics are concerned, there is no difference between a Role-Playing realm and any other realm. You don't get special benefits or special hindrances other than the behavioral rules you agreed to when joining a Role-Playing realm."

Gutka, your priest will likely kick my booty in a duel... I've been beaten by every other priest... its my spec not my equipment, I can take dmg all day but I can't dish any out...
undrin... yeah, did great at dodging and getting rams, not actual pvp action... oh and i'm good to have along for the fight with the last boss... that's about it...

pardon the ignorance, but to me, that's exactly what I said earlier.

Edit - unless you're just pointing out that on an RP server, you're dedicating yourself to playing a character both in the literal and fundamental difference. Then yes, that is the case.

I think the role-playing itself is what he was referring to... sorry to hear we won't be seeing you... would be fun to have someone to gripe to about all the PvPers... I know I whined about it all the way to level 60 and still do when everyone wants to go pvp sometimes... but it's not as bad now that I'm 60... I can pretty much ignore most of the pvp action when I want to and don't get bothered by being attacked when I'm not expecting it too much any more... only occasionally does it still happen, usually in blackrock mountain on my way to an instance.. <shrug>

i use to love pvp but now i've given up. as far as bg wise. me and joel are such pvp addicts as much of you. we believe that the game is based on evil and good and we should fight hordes. ganking is a whole other topic. i dont believe in ganking. i love arathi basin but the queue is getting ridiculous and after waiting close to an hour u enter a losing arathi basin. always getting the A team and it all comes down to teamwork. for hordes they are better at team work against the alliance. they form a raid and their priest actually heals. it's a lost cause going into a bg then everybody say just let them win and get it over with. i didnt wait an hour in queue to come into a bg and let them win. so currently i am rank...8..i think knight captain..probably lose rank this week cause i havent done any. my goal was to get the mount and the rest of the pvp armor. so back to the topic i think pvp is just part of the game. granted getting ganked isnt fun and i should know considering i have two castors but it's part of the game.
