Hmm. I'm not sure I understand what's going on here, so I'm just going to throw out a few questions in as least words as possible.

If I were to write a PM to you Magdalena explaining and detailing something that has gone wrong in the forum that you moderate, and then you judging whether to act on it or not - what does that mean exactly? How is it different with you acting on it or me acting on it? Is the cause and effect changed?

Also:
Also, if bandwidth is an issue, the question has been brought up again on whether we should move forums back to our website with a redirector from here or something?
- Why does a question like that come up first, instead of, let's say, putting a shoutbox on the existing SSX US WOW site? Why is an idea of moving the forums to "your" website without our input a primary choice instead of hosting a shoutbox on the already existing SSX US WOW site?

The locking of a spam topic should have never been an issue, even if there are underlying feelings of division. It is downright foolish to argue about such things. If you can't get on IRC at work, why don't you do your job for a change? If I was your boss I'd hit you with a big stick every time I saw you not working. Then I'd fire you, and give myself a raise.

Whoa, little BD moment there... :weird:

Anyway, if you feel like the SSX begins and ends with Mannoroth, you're sadly mistaken. What is the SSX, you ask? First of all, read the About SSX and Why SSX? sticky threads in every forum. The SSX has groups in Conquer Online, Guildwars, two groups in World of Warcraft (Mannoroth and Bladefist,) Dark Horizons: Lore (Quiz, Adrian, Killjoy, and esd are on the dev team,) Freespace, Neocron, Anarchy Online, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War, and good old Dungeons & Dragons.

The SSX was founded on the idea of a community of friends that play not just one game, but many games together. If you want to learn more about the other people in the community, post in the General forum more often, and play some more games. I have played many games with the SSX in the past including FS2, FL, WC3, Lore, WoW, AO, NC, and DoW, and I believe that I am very active in the community. I encourage you to be too. If you want to, or don't like the idea, you can leave, because it's not going to change. Ever.
HAHA for me persoanlly if I had work to do I would do it. They pay me quite a bit to still here and wait.

But I agree that perhaps this thread has run it's course.

It's sometimes hard to tell sarcasm.

I believe there are outstanding issues still, but I'd like everyone (and that does mean everyone) involved to think about it. We all need to decide if we want to work together, and then if we do decide to, we need to actually choose to work together. That DOES mean some situational awareness on the part of the WoW folks, btw. None of our conflict is stuff that should have surprised anyone. We run probably THE most open ship there is, we try to make it as clear as possible, it's incumbent on the new people to make at least a cursory examination of things.

The website thing, rank thing, the spam thing, the moderation in general thing, each of these things could have been avoided. We can change, but we're unlikely to change wholesale, we think we put alot of thought into how this should run. There must be some compromise, some sign that you want to be here, rather than feeling "forced" to be here.
