How well did we do in MC this weekend?
For those not familiar with running MC, I wanted to post this to let you all know just how well we were doing for having only about half of a normal MC Raid. The following is a clip from a MC raid guide expecting that they have 40 people in raid. Pay special attention to the last line and remember we lost ZERO players in this fight.
The Imps
Background:
The imps are very localized in Molten Core. They are only found in the caves leading up to Magmadar. They come in large packs of seven or more, but are not much more difficult than regular instance elite. Their respawn rate is extremely fast at 7 minutes.
Attacks:
Hits most tanks for under 200, but have small AE fire attacks that can stack up quite quickly.
Strategy:
We typically have a warrior pull these and then have all the paladins and warriors fight for agro. We try to keep these mobs out of camp as long as possible. Mages usually start with blizzard and if they start to get agro, follow up with frost nova and more AEs. If these imps gang up on any cloth caster expect them to go down, but our death rates are quite low fighting these and we typically lose 2-3 people each pull.

I still can't believe you went in there and survived without my uncanny healing abilities. Grats to Jonis, BabyD, and Sakuragi on their epics! Sorry I missed it, but glad everyone was so successful. It gives us something to hope for and shows us that we are a more than able bunch of losers (Mag and Trix) and cool peeps (the rest of us).

Where would you be if it weren't for all the druids' help in World War III?!

Ladies, I believe with this comment we should start showing gutka just how MEAN we can be... how many ways can we punnish him?
Starting with a Gutka boycott... no assistance from any lady or her man for Gutka... the hubbies already know the damage we're capable of so if they know what's good for them they'll play along...
This is just a starter punishment... add any other punnishments you feel might be appropriate...

We've found a fun way of going about this, it's a little less organised, but it's a probability that we are carried a bit by the mc and bwl epics.....
Basically, we let a mage tank, someone with leading aoe damage, normally it's not a named person; it's whoever drops on the emer monitor the fastest.
This week we managed Lucifron and Magmadar 26man (well....25), wasn't a scheduled run.
I really don't know the state of your raids, nor do I know the experience you guys have, but if you feel you need any help at all, advice, or anything, please let me know - irc or forums, it's pretty easy to find me.
I'll drop by your vent sometime, too
Congrats on the good work peeps, looks like you had great fun, and that's what matters most.

Thanks for the info QD.... we only had 2 mages, none of us epic'd out.... problem we had with luci was no enough decurse etc... didn't expect to get luci with this group but we'll still try for fun, group has a lot of fun pulling crazy stuff... if we down 'em awesome, if we don't its good practice until we get enough that we can and its a lot of fun which is the most important thing about playing a game together... have fun and look forward to seeing you

haha yeeeup! Sorry Gutka, but it's better you than me. And as the old saying goes, "If you can't beat them, join them, unless you have a vampire slayer on your side."
