I would like to make a suggestion to start rotating people organizing the groups Friday and Saturday nights...
Best place to start I guess would be to get some volunteers, if we can't get enough to volunteer for this, I'm going to start naming suggestions of people... I don't want to see the names of the same people who always do this as they're the ones I'm trying to alleviate some stress from.
Rlyan just took over one night this weekend while everyone else stood quiet so he's under a little reprieve for now too.
PS- For those that care enough to make this less stressful on people doing it, key word of advise... be on time so we know how many people we have, don't ask what we're doing constantly, don't whine when we're restricted on what we can do. Give clear precise votes when asked and only when asked. Choosing all options is not a clear and precise vote, at least narrow it down to 1-2 options and put them in order of preference.
Don't be selfish and only go if it benefits you. There are plenty here who have consistently gone for the benefit of only others and I assure you they're getting more upset every time they see someone do that.
Yes, I've gotten a little upset at this recurrence... I'm rather tired of seeing it every week. Most people here have done it at some point, and there's at least a few in each raid night lately. Several have tried to nicely hint at this and it doesn't seem to be being taken to heart.
I know Blizzard messed our nights up deciding to no longer have an instance for 11-15 people and it sucks royally but is no reason to start acting like this at raid time and making it more difficult on those trying to organize it. (Yes its been much worse recently since the 1.10 patch, though it was already difficult before.)

Should go without saying, but I have no problem helping out in any way I can. Starting the weekend of the 13th I will finally be done and back home for the rest of the summer. And I should have WoW installed on my computer again by that point. Things will finally be getting back to normal.

Ok, I went a little harsh there and I'm sorry. This has had some added stress in my home for quite some time. Also, let me make sure I'm clear... its not the directing during the raids... plenty step up for that and that is considerably less stressful. Its the times we have 11-16 people online for a 20-man which we've all agreed not to do at that point. Splitting those people into smaller groups at that point has been the ultimate headache (many times literally).
Obviously from my frustrations, Trix and I need a break from dealing with this sector of leadership for a bit, so whatever the end decision is, we're turning it over to whoever picks it up entirely, let us know what we need to do to sign up or whatever, and we'll do it.
Leaving this duty with one suggestion so the next person doesn't quickly end up pulling their hair out as bad as we are right now. That suggestion is go back to using one of the available raid calendars and enforcing use of it to be part of any of the raids. Don't know how well this idea would go over but to make it work you'd pretty much have to say "if you're not on there, you're not going. If you're not there on time, the raid isn't happening." Also add 2-3 smaller raids for people to sign up for if the bigger one falls through, but use the same rules... if they're not signed up for one of them at least, they're not going on any of them. Seems kinda harsh, but we weren't able to get enough people using them to make them useful when we tried before. Good thing is lower levels can use it for their instances too... Thats pretty much the end of my input for now... handing the reigns over to whoever picks them up off the ground.
PS- Thanks to the few that offered here to help and make sure whoever picks up the reigns people don't stomp all over them too. Rlyan did a great job this past weekend, though I don't see him as likely to volunteer himself for that torture again. (Yes, this can be considered a form of cruel and unusual punishment as it has been recently, and yes I'm currently discussing pressing charges on all of you with my lawyer... lol)

It just took me by surprise. I actually stepped up and it was like I was split into two people at the same time. One was saying, "what the heck are you doing?" The other didn't care what the other one thought and decided to step up an take initiative.
I wouldn't mind doing this on more of a regular basis to tell the truth. It's an opportunity to learn and grow confidence as a person and as a player. As long as people are patient with me as I learn what works and what doesn't work, and if my friends continue to support me and give me advice, I'll be more than happy taking up the reigns. Summer vacation is almost here and I'll have more time to do stuff (as if I didn't play WoW enough already).
It isn't fair for Mag and Trix. They have been doing this for as long as I can remember. I do not think that you were harsh at all Mag. You said what needed to say, and people needed to hear it.
Let me know what you think. I probably won't be checking the forums or on the game until tomorrow.
Love you guys.

rlyan...we'll switch...u did it this past weekend....i'll do this friday and sat...and if people don't like what i assign them, then too bad, leave the raid/group then....cause we have enough to replace them....
i will pick the instances....so if u don't like it too bad....if we have less then 20 people on, we will not attempt ZG or AQ20....we will NOT attempt any MC trash Raids on my weekends so don't bother asking please....
this friday the instances will be, scholo and estrat......if u don't like it..don't come...if we have 10-15people, the instances will be ubrs and scholo....
this sat the instances will be wstrat and estrat....again, if u don't like it, tough.....if we have 10-15people, the instances will be ubrs and wstrat....
(i pick wstrat cause we, guild bank, need righteous orbs plus people don't go there and they should learn it too)
since it's been stressful for the people organizing this...during my weekends, no one have a say to where they will go...either u go into instances with guildies or u go find ur own PUGs......
IF by chance we have 20 people...we will head to AQ20 to down the first boss then try the 2nd boss ONLY once...then go to ZG to attempt a few bosses there....again in ZG if we don't have at LEAST 3 Mages, we will NOT go after the bat boss but will go after the other bosses........
IF we have 20+ plus people i will exclude ones that i feel will not contribute or if we have too many of one class.....You will not have any say again in this...sorry but if we are to do AQ20/ZG we need a balance raid....
Again, on my weekends, no one will have a say in what they do...why? cause no one says anything anyways....mite as well do what i tell you....i will be fair in instances we run.....
forgot to mention....i will seperate the raids at 7pm server time....if your not there on time or at least inform me that you will be late, you will NOT be going....
only exceptions to these are little kids since they can't come to the forums..so all they have to do is be on....

Thank you both for taking this up. I know there are those likely thinking Sakuragi is being too harsh on this, for those that think that I have news for you, he's not. We've tried addressing this other ways but it has not worked. The raids have been starting later and later recently and that doesn't work out well for anybody.
I'm certain both will be fair in how they handle this and rotate where the groups are going. I'm sure they'll also welcome others into the rotation as well... so, if you want something done differently I suggest you put yourself in there and lead your own raid night, and if you don't want to raid, don't join the raid group.
Also keep in mind for those with multiple characters, if you have an alt that happens to be a more needed class, you may be asked to change over for the group to make the raid feasible. If not needed it won't be asked, but doing these is in no way fun for anybody with a group that is not balanced class wise, insisting on making it so by only going if you can take class x instead of z is selfish, thoughtless, and not our groups way at all. You will be rotated in with that class when possible, just be patient and work for the good of the group.
Lets try to have a goal of getting these nights back to fun for everyone.

hey im sure you have all noticed i have been "absent" from raids friday and sat nights this is bc its my only night that i can go out with friends since i have school durring the week. i will definitely try to remedy this durring the summer, anyhow when i get a more permanent idea of what my schedule is this summer in terms of work and such ill see what i can do in terms of alieviating the burdens on those currently stressed
also i dont think alot of ppl realized that this was a problem until now so i'd say that we all need to relax a little bit before someone hurts the feelings of others... just a thought
ok well hope this all works out
