I think Chicago is our best bet this year. I would love to go further, as Juli and I love to travel but do to our current working conditions this is probably the best.. well that is other than Lansing, MI which would be perfect hehe. We could put up at least 6 people lmao.

Any get together that I will be able to go to will have to be either within driving rage of philly so it can be done during a weekend, or during the few days that I have off. Other than that I am not allowed to take any time off from my hospital duties.

Chris NEVER call steve stevie or stevey. I'll assume that it is a typo. Steve doesn't care, but I hate that name. I want to strangle his cousin everytime she uses it.

Yeah good thing mel because I hate that name with a passion when it is being refered to steve just because of who used to call him that. Anybody else gets called that name is fine with me.

Alright. Things are getting a little off-topic.

Let's keep things on the discussion of the get together.

Yes please, lets get back to the get together please. Sorry, did not realize I was hitting such a sensative subject.

Back to discussions on you crazy people meeting in the crazy cold windy city.

It seems this has fallen to the way side a little bit. Are people still interested? If so we really need to get a date planned and figure out where to stay. To me it looks like a majoriety of people like the idea of Chicago. Lets get this going if it is to happen.

Someone needs to take charge, and I'm going to. We should stay in a hotel outside of Chicago, so parking will not be too much of an issue. I'm thinking of a Holiday Inn, Hampton Inn, etc. Hopefully if we do this early enough we'll get better rates and maybe rooms on the same floor.

So far I've heard that late June and early-mid July are what works best. So let's throw some dates out. Im looking at the weekend of June 30th, July 7th, or of July 14th. Check your schedules and get back to me on the forums.

Sean and I will both be 21 by the time these trips are taken. Some were asking what the hell we were going to do, and there's an answer. When it comes to Chicago, I don't know much. I know they have a St. Paddy's day parade and I've been to a few Cubs games. I'm going to leave someone else to discuss activities. I'm personally fine deciding once we get there.

Once I get enough feedback, I'll look into specific hotels, distances, and rates.

We need to get this rolling if we actually intend to do this.

Ok first time for everything.... I think this trip is a great idea... bad thing is we are running out of time. Summer is a busy time for all of us im sure. But because we are friends and manage to find time for one another im sure planning this at the last moment will be like raiding hehe!

Im all up for the weekend of july 14th .... not sure what the weather will be like, but who can tell from a bar??? :thumb:

I guess we should start by a vote. Seems like the democratic thing to do... start with place then go for a date then set up who will be buying me drinks :D After that i pretty much wont care!

Ok not sure if this will post but I sure would like to party with all of you.

There is always room for a well planned trip later in the year, or even start planning for a huge one next yr. Last minuet things are fun but hard to pull off. :smack:
