Creation of Alliance Ad Suggestion

Post by Magdalena »

Ok, seeing as how I'm not the only one mentioning the thought of advertising for a small guild alliance along with or instead of the recruiting, thought I would place an idea for an add here up for discussion so we can decide, one or the other or both...<reminder, this won't be posted until we've got our stuff ready, likely looking at a couple of weeks down the road>

Shattered Star Exiles is currently looking to start an alliance of small to medium guilds on the Alliance side of the Mannoroth server to venture into Molten Core Friday and/or Saturday nights. Our guild is a medium sized guild with an average of 15-20 players online on these nights.

We are a mature group of members and very close friends, with most of our group being in their 20s-30s, including several married couples and even a couple of their kids. We're looking for similar groups of semi-casual mature players that have a strong desire to complete some of the end game content, enough to be more semi-serious for 1-2 nights a week.
(Joking around in downtime not only ok but desired, but requesting 110% focus during prep time and battles.)

We have a ventrillo server capable of hosting a 40-man raid as well as a site for loot tracking already built which can be seen at <insert weblink here>. While everybody is not required to have a microphone, it will be required to be able to log onto the ventrillo server for listening to directions and coordination during the raids. There are also 2 UI requirements required for these raids, Guild Event Manager (used for signing up and scheduling raids) and CTRaid Assist (used for many things during the raid itself).

Currently our guild has a strong concentration of Priests and Warriors, and a weakness in the number of Mages. Other classes are fairly balanced, usually having 2 Druids, 2-3 Hunters, 2-3 rogues, 1-3 pallies. Our warlock group is a bit more flexible, a priest, a druid, and a pally have warlock alts they often switch to depending on the party make-up and what is needed, as well as having 1 static warlock. There are also others with alts that switch in and out depending on the current configuration. Group make-up can be determined and worked on, however this gives a better idea of what classes will make the best fit as well.

If this sounds like something your group would be interested in, look us up on the web at www.shatteredstar.org or contact one of our officers in game.

Here's hoping to many adventures to come and friendships to be made.

i think it's a good idea....i also wanna point out some guilds that are looking for more participates....aka knights of adun.....they just can't seem to get 40 man for mc but they have close to 20+ at raid time....it's one that i think u guys mite want to considered...the gm of the guild is actually about 25yrs old.....and most of their players are casual players...for some reason, they 100+ lvl 60s but can't get more then 20-30 to a raid......

just a suggestion....
