I always thought that anime wouldn't be something that I could enjoy watching at all, but after Himico here showed me 'Scrapped Princess' I more or less fell in love with anime. Since then, which is probably around three months ago now, I've watched Love Hina and my favorite, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya

So doesn't that make it anime?Brandonheat wrote:Transformers and Thundercats but these were cartoons. A real anime would would have to be DBZ (ofcourse)

hahaha the first anime i ever saw was DBZ as well, this was back in hong kong when my bro and i wld stay up well late (i was real young then so staying up late was exciting
) and watch the eps with english subtitles and were really extreme iirc. They wld say things like "OH YOU %$&*!!!!!" all the time hahaha..... good times. Then watched akira alot later but was too drunk to remember it then Naruto. So id say naruto was the thing that 'properly' hooked me on anime. Watched cowboy bepop at the same time as naruto but didnt get in to cowboy bepop as much at the time.

Laputa and Guyver.
Laputa I was too young to really understand, and Guyver nearly put me off anime for life.
I was one of those people salvaged by Evangelion when it was first released.

Don't remember the first one I saw ( I suppose it was the transformers in china when I was like 3 or 4, but I was more of a fan of the smurfs)...just wanted to kill the friend who told me Rama was good. Heehee he's now as frustrated with it as I am. I guess the first one I really liked was Princess Monoke and then started watching bubble gum crisis again and some tenchi and a whole bunch of other series. So sad cause I don't get to stay up late enough now to watch the late night anime on the cartoon network anymore, so I've resorted to netflex which doesn't always give them in the correct order since they are so expensive to buy.

Evangelion and Nadesico - Saad happened to be buying one, and I the other at the same time. Evangelion didn't really hook me into anime though, that honour belongs to Nadesico
