SSX Application

Post by Morrius-eu »

Hi everyone,

I'm a night elf hunter, currently a few kills away from level 40, and I'd like to apply for SSX. My link to SSX comes from the guys I live with, Aliwoo (60 warrior) and Matikus (60 Rogue, member of union). Carnal (56 Paladin) is also my brother. Additionally, I've made friends with the warrior Fearknot recently, and we've been running SM together most of today. I originally played as horde on Executus with a 60 shaman, but rerolled in order to join Aliwoo, Matikus and Carnal on outland.
I've been reading the forums for a while, waiting for recruitment to reopen, and have also read the SSX philosophy, which I've seen echoed in the actions of the members perfectly.
Countless times I've watched Aliwoo raiding with SSX, and been bowled over by the high degree of organisation and professionalism. Coupling that with the friendly members makes me sure that SSX would be a great opportunity to finally enjoy Wow to the fullest.
I'm a very active player, spending a lot of time grinding recently in the hope of improving my chances when applying for SSX.
I'm aware that you are a mostly high level guild. However, I'd love to grind to 60 and beyond as a member, grouping with the alts and lower levels as we progress towards 60 together.

I look forward to your reply whatever the outcome :)

I'm really really sorry, but I think you've applied to the wrong guild :nervous:

Nah, we'll get back to you. We're currently reworking our recruitment system, so you will have to give us a couple of days before we can get back to you :thumb: Be patient with us!

Maybe I'm thinking of the times I watched Matikus raid with union! :D
Only kidding of course. I've watched Aliwoo run SSX raids for hours and wished my horde guild had half as much fun.

Incidentally Chalan, I was in Ironforge last night, begging Matikus to 'gief epix' and talking complete rubbish about wielding guns and bows at the same time, then turned round and spotted you behind me (to my horror!)
In case you overheard any of this, I'm not actually a nub. I was just winding Matikus up. honest. :nervous:

Here's a question for you, do your lower members do any organised runs? I plan on grinding instances to 60 and doing as few world quests as possible. Fearknot and myself had some trouble getting members to SM yesterday, I wondered if you guys ever organise anything for the mid level characters.

Cheers

Do you mean boosts, or do you mean like lower lvl ppl get together?

Both happen, but not that often really.

Not boosts, I just meant do the lowbies tend to group together a lot (that you've noticed). But you've answered my question anyway :)

Here's a little more info about me:

I'm a 22 year old guy from Bristol UK, currently living with Aliwoo and Matikus and you know. We're all big gamers, we've got 4 pc's, a Gamecube, a Playstation, an N64 and two DS's in our house!
I work as a systems administrator for a big horrible company, where I do a lot of different IT work, from sorting out security permissions to sorting out hardware problems. Therefore if your PC's a bit cocked up, I may be able to help. It'll cost you 100g though. kek :thumb:

Outside of wow and work I'm very into music (I've played the drums for about 12 years now!), Film (David Lynch!), Animal rights, nature and Veganism (yes, I'm a hippy.... kind of odd for a hunter hehe) and bike riding. I also love reading, and I love giving up smoking, which I do about twice a month. I also recently rediscovered coco pops (I didn't realise vegans could eat them) and I plan to spend the rest of my days shovelling coco pops into my fat mouth.

I'm also not of the fudge packers as Aliwoo says, but I think he wishes I was. He creeps into my room at night and draws pictures of me, I'm sure of it.

I used to play on executus in 'Draco Elysium' but we merged with two smaller guilds and took on a raft on epix-obsessed mid to high level characters, who didn't quite get the chilled out nature of Draco, and spoilt it a bit. I'm still a member over there, but I very rarely play that character.

Enough spam from me (I'm actually sat at work really bored, trying to pass the time) and hopefully I'll be seeing you soon.
