ok, how the heck did you beat me to this? I didn't see you in IRC and I was just asking the EU guys about this and about to post a link to it... sigh... I actually like the idea... gives those like jyh who have already leveled every class of their faction a reason to create a character of the new race other than just appearance. Also, it balances out horde and alliance fully abilities wise. Easier than trying to completely balance two very different classes. GG I say.

Looks like it is so.

I think its pretty brilliant move actually.
Stops ALOT of complaints about the old Shammy vs Pali argument AND it address alot of people's complaints that no new classes were coming out with the expansion.
Now both factions get a new class....

Well not exactly 'new' but um..... a class they didnt have b4

I always found the Pally vs Shammy stuff fun, because it gave me a reason to hate the horde and do some pvping.

I don't like it myself. Blizzard has set Alliance against Horde and the main difference being Paladins and Shamans. I *hate* shamans and I'm sure hordlings feel the same way about paladins. Next thing they are going to do is allow horde and alliance to communicate regularly rather than a crude emote system.

That being said I'll probably be rolling a shaman. I've already reserved 4 names using level 1 alts.
