Post by Trixster »

ok think we all know new raiding times were comming. now that we are not running with KOA what times work best for everyone?

I am going to only list saterday and sunday at this time, due to the time it takes on the 2nd day as of today to get thought the instance.

This poll is good till the 8/24/06 due to the guild meeting on friday.

Hmm well I like the 4Pm one fore Saturday but I would have a hard time doing it Sunday. I could do it earlier Sunday though and 4 PM Saturday.

Voted for 4pm, which is muuuch better then 1pm, tho would still actually like to see it later TBH.
Reasoning is the same for why I was against the 1pm raids....
Its the weekend.
You know, the time you finally get off from work/school to spend actual time with your friends/family/children... out in the sun/park/day etc.

Not locked away on the puter, which in the past has usually be regulated to evenings and after 'kid' hours so you can take a break and have time to yourself whilst they sleep...
Nothin sadder then "sorry son, I know I promised to play ball with you in the park today because I have been busy all week at work but... um... its RAID time.... tootles... luv ya...."

I have been a very bad influence in the past (not just with games ) and have slowly been trying to not be, so do not wish to support that type of influence in a 'family' guild.

Not saying 4pm is a 'bad' time, just my vote actually leans towards a bit later 'adult' time is all ;D

And for anyone who lives on the west coast and doesn't realize it the poll as it stands is running from 11am to 1pm PST on sat n sun.

I actually am changing my vote. I belive that it would be in our best interest to do it Firday and Saturday nights leaving one day without a raid on the weekend. I know I can not make them both or I will hear about it. So I would ask that we change that and leave Sunday open for smaller ingame things instead.

Night raids in all honesty usually start breaking up at around 10pm server time... and can't seem to get started before 8:30-9pm... leaving with not much getting done many nights...

If people could get there earlier and be ready to go, wouldn't mind splitting into Friday night and Saturday earlier afternoon...

Keep in mind while parent's primary personal time is during the day, we also have some college kids who need nights off to go party with their friends (as well as un childed adults whose times would be the same... I'd love a night out with my hubby once in a while..)

Like Friday 7pm-? and then Sat 3-7... no sunday raids...

Have all groups give and take some... still leave some daylight before raids Sat. and all day Sun... and leave some night prowling time open saturday nights...

We've lost people to both which everybody in this group understands, but thought rather than directing in favor of one or the other, open some time up for both...

Just a suggestion...

I look at it this way. There are times when I will not be on Friday nights and there are times I will not be on Saturday nights. But in the end those are the best evenings for me to play. i know i am not the only one in the guild and these are only suggestions. I make sure I take time to go out with my wife and to hang with frineds at parties and such so I expect you can also do that. I am sure people can manage for one night without you two hehe.

I agree, Friday and Saturday are the best for me. Sunday has traditionally been the day I've spent with family and church activities. Like Mark, I know I'm not going to be able to make both days each and every week. I know (or hope) that the rest of us will be in the same situation. That's to be expected and encouraged.

Truth be told. I expect that we should be able to move much more quickly and that starting later shouldn't hamper our movement through the instance.

David,

If you need help with your biology stuff I'm more than happy to lend assistance. I've got some experience in that field. :smack:

Here's something I learned about biology. You will never use it. LOL, but the easy stuff I still remember, kind of like math and programming, give me a few hours and I can pick it back up again. Problems is finding that few hours. I give to do my presentation on Preeclampsia today infront of the entire Harvard OB/GYN staff and I have butterflies in by stomach and it's taking all I got to not vomit along with my hyperemetics. I can't wait till this presentation is over, or maybe a little ativan to calm my nerves. Then again since I have never taken ativan, it might knock me out. Grr I can't win.
