I don't know what your university's policy on alcohol is, but I know that at UTK, you get a warning from the office of Judicial Affairs, and then you get expelled. Now would probably be a good time to straighten up and fly right. Your hall staff will probably keep an extra eye on you, now that you are on record for violating housing policy.

Basically, they caught us playing beer pong. But I was the only one holding a drink in my hand when they came in. My other suite-mates were sitting on the couch. They essentially don't have anything to nail me or my roommates with seeing that they didn't know who was drinking. They didn't document it. They didn't even come into the room. There was another girl with us who is 21 so it will end up being that "the two of us were playing beer pong and my roommates were just watching." They <censored> up by not involving the campus police or determining who had been drinking. Gotta meet this guy on tuesday. We'll see.

Wow that's formal. I'm a head RA for my university and basically you just get a call to chat with the dean. no formal letter like stated above.

Be honest, you'd be surprised how far that goes.

Today I had my meeting with the director of housing. He gave us a pretty quick speach about the whole judicial process, what part of that process we were at, etc. etc. He basically said how it was really good that we cooperated, came to meet with him, and that he was just giving us a warning. He then proceeded to tell us what not to do so that we don't get caught again

Not to be a wet blanket but, I'd say you got really lucky. They could have done any of the things you said they didn't, and this guy could have been looking to make an example.

He may have even been a college student once himself, and therefore have some idea what sorts of circumstances actually led up to the incident.

Anywho, like I said, lucky I think. You're probably also lucky he doesn't surf internet game sites. Some of us old guys do

Now would someone explain to me what beer pong is? When I was in res we just had good, old fashioned floor crawls when wanton drunkeness was the goal of the evening.

It's not "No drinking" it's "No drinking games, and no underage drinking".

And I'm on a Dry campus. Though we work with alcohol quite a bit, and serve some of our dishes with a glass of wine or champaign to other students.
