Fire Resistance Gear - Crafters

Post by Magdalena »

In order to continue equipping our guys with Fire Res Gear for Ragnoros, we need to decide on some crafters for the following in this order to get up their Thorium Brotherhood Rep to Revered...

Done - Armorsmith - Magdalena (Revered) - First Warrior Pass Complete

Elemental Leatherworker - (Need to decide and fill quickly) - Need to make First Rogue Pass

Clothcrafter - Requiemdream (already honored) - Needed for Priest/Mage/Lock Pass

Tribal Leatherworker - (Need to decide and fill quickly) - Need to make first Druid/Pally Pass

Dragonscale Leatherworker - Kamaria - Needed for first Hunter Pass (may fill some Pally passes later as well)

Here's how it the system should work:

1. Pick Elemental Leatherworker - Get Elemental Leatherworker to
Friendly
2. Equip Highest Attendance Rogue with first piece
3. Get Clothcrafter to Friendly (Done)
4. First Piece for Highest Attendance Mage
5. First Piece for Highest Attendance Priest
6. First Piece for Highest Attendance Warlock
7. Pick Tribal Leatherworker -
Get Tribal Leatherworker to Friendly
8. First Piece for Highest Attendance Druid
9. First Piece for Highest Attendance Paladin
10. Get Dragonscale Leatherworker to Friendly
11. First Piece for Highest Attendance Hunter

Next Rotation will involve getting all crafters to Honored and equipping next person on the list for each class, then Revered, then just equipping.

You will be expected to have gone out and collected some FR for yourself before an item is crafted for you, the craftable items do not fill in your entire FR set and need to know this will be completed. Expect to be checked for a min 100 blue FR unbuffed. Those without it can still get the gear once they've reached that mark or once those that have reached it on their own have gotten all of theirs, whichever comes first. Also under consideration first will be those that make it to 50% or more of the raids as they're more likely to be there on the battles where it's needed.

I haven't looked at equip available for all classes yet, but we will be picking the most effective piece available for each at that time. For Rogues, the first piece will be the Molten Helm, for clothies the Flarecore Mantle will be first.

Tip: Rogues, have your libram of Resillience ready, you can team up to farm BRD in twos to get the burning essence thing for it... stealth runs much faster.
Cloth wearers, work on getting Revered with Argent Dawn for the FR to add to your shoulders.

These are two things all should look to do as they can help get you to needed FR with fewer pieces, leaving you less gimped for the fight.

2x Libram - Extra 40 Resistance (Head & Leg)
1x Shoulder Enchant - Extra 5 Resistance

If your T1 Head or Legs has Fr already on it, you can look to add these to it as well.

Building FR will not resume until we have a trusted Elemental Leatherworker chosen and to Friendly with TBH though, so there's the first order of business this week.

Thanks Mel for addressing this issue.

If you need a backup tailor, Aoiren is already Honored with The Thorium Brotherhood. I have not advanced my rep anymore due to the cost of DI ore, but can make the Flarecore Gloves and Flarecore Mantle. In addition, I can learn the Flarecore Robe pattern if needed.

Achara is already honoured with Thorium Brotherhood. I made a whole lot of Black Dragonscale Boots for hunters when I was in KoA. Of course, I'd be more than happy to do the same thing here. :)

Vel's Tribal and already friendly with TB. I'm happy to work on getting rep higher if there will actually be a demand for my services. I haven't put much time into it past getting friendly (I think I'm 1/5 or so through) because nobody's been asking for the stuff I can make now or could possibly make in the future.

As far as pieces go, Vel's got the best FR pieces she can get right now except for the black dragonscale boots. Now all she needs to do is farm the FR enchant mats for those pieces. By the time I've saved the gold for her epic mount it may actually be my turn in the rotation for the cores necessary for her boots. :smack: I'm sorry, but getting her mount has priority over spending the hundreds of gold on the cores necessary for those boots.

I think Holiday has the boot pattern as well as Achara so we should be all set on crafters for that particular piece.

These won't get done before this weekend's fight, but it's great to have them all in one spot. So remember to still get pots and other buff items etc.

Just a reminder.

Although I haven't been online much recently I'm still very accessible and very willing to craft and items that need crafting. All of the Officers know how to get ahold of me or send me an instant message or PM. GL on Ragnaros this weekends, everybody! It's really going to suck not being able to see him take a major faceplant because of SSX. I'll be in Binghamton visiting Thegardian for the weekend. Make me proud! lol :thumb:

Update

Post by Aoiren »

The rogue and mage, priest and warlock fire resistance pieces have been made and awarded. Next in line is the Druid and Pally pieces.

Just looking at max FR, the best piece for Druids would be the Corehound boots since their T1 piece has none. I know the corehound belt is really nice with 62 plus healing but it is only 5 more FR over the T1 piece.

I do have a question on weither it would be better for the Pallys to get the Dark Iron Helm over a leather item. Any opinion on this from the Pallys?

The DI helm has 35 fire res and 20 stam, the corehound belt has 12 FR which is only 5 better than the T1 pally belt and the corehound boots have 24 FR.

Now the T1 pally helm has 10 fire already but the T2 has none.
With the +20 lib enchant the DI helm would be 55FR on one piece, which would allow possibly ungimp yourself on other pieces.
