BWL anyone?

On Sunday there was a PUG BWL run that a couple of SSXers went on. Even though it was not successful due to people wiping the raid intentionally, it seemed that it was definately doable as a guild to take down Razorgore. The fight was all about tactics more so than gear. Kite the warrior adds and kill / crowd control the spellcasters during stage one. Once the eggs are down, kill Razorgore and according to Miss Weili there are fewer eggs to take out now.

I would like to propose that we give the first BWL boss a try before the MC run on Friday. There are no trash mobs to clear since we can just run up to the instance orb and it looks like the fight would take less than 7 minutes to one shot.

I guess the question would be to ask who is not attuned for BWL and if there is enough interest to give it a shot before MC or if we should try to setup another night for it.

Yeah I think we should be able to give razorgore a shot. I hadn't realized that there were much less eggs than when I had gone in a good while back, and SSX would listen a lot better than that pug did.

If you want me to either teach someone how to MC @ RG, or MC myself at RG I'd be more than happy to, I have pretty extensive experience MCing him since that was my primary job for the first few months of SSX BWL :P

We basically did
QD (Or other Pally or Rogue) MC -> until last egg then MT (Mel) Takes over for last egg, for aggro purposes = P2.

A skilled mind controller can make Phase 1 a lot easier on people, Outland was blessed that we had quite a few people who were very good at it.

With so few druids (same as outland really) your hunters are going to have to be excellent performers in kiting.
You ARE capable of doing Vael right now, you CAN do it, but you will need to field your strongest team on their A-Game.

The rogues and DPS warriors aren't gonna like this fight, in P1 they're tanking/chaos killing adds.
In P2 they are bandaging the Ranged DPS / Healers. :P

Side note:
Even if you only make it to P2 with 6 people alive, if it's the right classes (EG: 2-3 skilled healers + 1-2 ranged DPS + MT + OT) you can theoretically kill this boss :P
Outland used to lose perhaps 65% of the raid in P1 and kill RG np until we got the fight fully on farm.

Thank you QD for your offer of assistance for these fights. It is most welcomed.

I am going to set up a BWL event on GEM today for 7pm server time on Friday November 3rd to see how much interest there is.

"When" we down our friendly Razorgore, if it will not cut too much into MC raid time, it looks like the Vael fight is right next door with no trash in between. Due to the nature of the beast, it is only a 3 minute fight one way or the other.

Uber gimpage for max fire resist gear because of the 3 minute buff Vael gives you (insane mana, energy and rage regen).

Is there a way we can maybe do it Sat.? I will not be here on Friday and I might be able to make Sat. evening. This will allow us to do our MC thing like usual on Friday and it will be a supplement to Satudray's run which should (hopefully) consist of razorgore, domo, and rag.

Saturday should give us more time so it sounds good to me. I was just trying to set it for Friday since we did not have enough people last Saturday to run MC.

So as not to play favorites I am going to post a poll and setup two GEM events for BWL to see which day is better for everyone interested.

If you guys dont mind helping me prior to Saturday, I need attunement for BWL. I have done UBRS like 5 times but until now I didnt have the quest until recently. Other than that, BWL here we come... arrrrg

BWL sounds fun as long as those running it don't expect us to know exactly what we're doing and get frusterated when we mess up.

RG is an experience thing, you can go in there knowing the theory (and as a hunter you definately definately should try to find out about the theory before going in there, really hunters get the hardest job in *my* oppinion, for that entire fight, and it's so completely different to anything they've done before), but you need to see how it plays out before you can really get to ground with it, honestly even if the raid has read an entire top to bottom full detail guide for their class and general overview they will need to wipe at least twice to understand it properly :P

Some people've told me (these are people that farm nefarion) they still have no clue what they're doing about that fight and they've done it a million times so no one should get upset at anyone I hope.

I think this will be one of those first tries, where we going with let's say 3-5 tries in mind, since it's a quick run back (unless you are like me and forget you are in bwl and jump down to MC), and then after that, other tries should be voted on, no point in getting everybody frustrated with the fight.
