BWL rally for a raid
There is some interest in trying the first boss in BWL this week, but which day would you like to give it a go?
If you are not attuned for BWL and would like to be please post your name and a time you would be available to make a UBRS run. It is normally a two hour run to finish UBRS at the end of which you can get attuned.

QD- Kam is attuned... we got her attunement before our mains were 60... just never used it.... now the QD char, nobody's played that one but you so only you would know :P
As for times I selected after the MC for 2 reasons...
1. Keep focus to finish what we've started... all in all I'd really like to see Rag down once before jumping into the chaos that is Razorgore. (If you think it takes organization to get all of rag's sons together and dead, you ain't seen nothing yet.)
2. We've had issues 90% of the nights getting more than low 20s at the start of the raid... this is enough to start some trash in MC, but there is no trash at the start of BWL, and it's not enough right now to start that. Would see a much bigger delay before raids because we'd have to wait for enough people to log on to even start BWL.
I selected Saturday night because it will be easy if we get our pace up to do domo/rag/razorgore/onyxia on the same night, much easier than fittting him in with luci-golemag mc.... eventually though mc will get to one night clears... at this time we're going to have to have discussions on getting people there in a timely manner at least on whatever night we decide to tackle BWL...
However, asking people to attempt 2 new bosses at the same time is asking for a ton of wipes for a bit which could give team morale a big kick in the teeth. Not that it should, new encounters are usually going to have their share of wipes, it's all part of learning, however this is the trend I've seen and don't want to see people start getting burned out like they did back when we were taking stabs at both AQ20 and ZG.
I'm just as enthusiastic as the next guy when it comes to exploring new stuff... won't get me down in the least, but have seen the effect it has on the group overall... ends up being like a domino effect starting with 1 person. It would have to be something the entire group agrees to and understands they're going to wipe on both encounters... unless trying him multiple nights a week... going in with the attitude of taking 10 mins for Razorgore first attempt is dream world. Setup is about like explaining Garr...
One thing we can start doing for RG is start getting some speed boots for possible kiters... this means dps warriors and hunters... would say to pick one or the other, but our attendance has gone back and forth on those 2 classes, so we kinda need to look for both.

Actually since RG P1 is such a brawl (and that's the phase ppl wipe on) it's sometimes fun to run it once or twice just to experience it :P
I completely agree with your other points though, but RG is one exceptionally fun fight
So Kam's Attuned QD isn't, gotta make sure QDs attuned cuz there's no way I'm kiting if I can avoid it /flee..
I can do my best on a tactical write up with diagrams for RG though and even pull on the class leaders of the time, the difficult thing for portraying specifics will be that by the time we hit BWL class specifics were handled by class leaders for us, so although I have a strong foundation of knowledge (I'm padding, I can probably describe everything exactly, I just don't wanna screw it up, and I trust those people
), but they're more likely to be able to tell you letter to their experience with it, best combos best builds/gears setups etc, you name it.
The most important three classes for you guys to sort out for RG will probably Warriors, Hunters, and Paladins.
Paladins because they are _THE_ main (and sometimes only) healers for Razorgore P1.
Hunters because they handle an entire 1/3 of the incoming adds almost completely on their own (the occasional PW: S and Renew!).
And Warriors because everyone of them needs to know MT, OT and "rest of raid" job, actually the person who ends up being MT P2 has almost got the easiest job...
you'll need a lot of clear vent communication from class responcible people (so raid leader hunter coordinator razorgore mind controller, main tank, off tank and sometimes support from the rest of the raid (info wise).
RG is very chaotic, fighting 60 UBRS Level/Difficulty Mobs at once = Fun in my mind, even if you do wipe :P
Anyways, you're completely right about morale and the time frame.
Also, once everyone knows what to do on RG the 'setup time' isn't actually any longer than what you would think for.... Gehe or Lucifron (Perhaps more Lucifron side of things than Gehe > tiny bit longer).
When it boils down to it, RG is an experience check fight.
Vael is a Science and Gear check fight.
and the rest of the instance is a breeze in comparison, until Chrommagus and Nef himself.
Really, honest to god, it's not just my being enthusiastic, but if you all get behind it you can easily kill RG.
Vael I'm not sure about since you need to factor a lot of things (DPS vs ThreatPS + HPS vs number of skilled and geared tanks vs 4minutes *you can survive beyond the 3m vael buff ;P most early-attempt-vael kills go beyond the 3m mark*)

I think I have the speed enchant also and will check when I am on tonight, but let me get back to the topic of BWL.
I admit I am probably not a "casual" when it comes to raiding. So if I am pushing too much let me know. I do not mean to cause chaos or disharmony it just comes naturally sometimes.
It was just that seeing and being in BWL was a rush and I want more. =P
