Warriors - Please post the spec you chose

Post by Magdalena »

This is a call to all of the warriors... while I haven't gotten online to complete my choices yet, I've already posted the route I'm going to be taking...

Please, once you've decided on a spec for your warrior, post it up here. This will help our raid leader a ton in lining up the warrior groups for the raids.... putting those with more protection/higher gear up front for tanking positions while trying to keep those dmg builds doing damage as much as possible during the fight.

This helps keep our raids as smooth and effective as possible. I'd also suggest other classes open similar forums for their classes to post up in. It helps to know who's healing vs dps spec'd for our druids, pallies, and priests, and there's other things for other classes like auras, etc.

For naysayers, which tends to come up in topics like these, this isn't about telling people which route to go... pick what you like guys... this is just about knowing what each person picks to be able to best utilize their talents.

No matter what you pick in any classes, there are times you will be needed to perform tasks in raids that don't necessarily coincide with the way you're spec'd in your class or what you'd like to be doing. There are times we need all the healing we can get, there are times where some protection warriors might not have anything to tank, there are times where dmg warriors will have to tank... there are bosses immune to fire dmg (fire mages and warlocks will have to dps using other methods), there are bosses immune to frost dmg... there are all types of situations that will result in needing to change things about the way we play our characters no matter what we like in order to get past a certain obstacle. This is something we can't get around, but usually does not require certain specs though they may be helpful in that situation... they may at the same time be detrimental in other situations. :P

This is why we always say choose what you like.

Full Protection!!!! You can come on alma now mel :)

Jophiel has just over 6k hp UNBUFFED and is near impossible to kill.

Last night I bum rushed 6 horde (of all classes, some shamen, a rogue, a warrior and a caster). I survived with no help whatsoever for about 30sec. Plenty of time to keep them busy.

Here's my spec:

The imp revenge is for pvp. While it holds no value in places like MC, it is nice to stun opponets. Also while dueling, rogues are cake. I beat two seprate T2.5 rogues in duels just because their evecerate crits did not hit me for more than 500dmg!

Overall I'm happy, but I will miss fury spec and pulling aggro of mel (it was so ez!) Now she's going to have to pull it off me w/ the mage, but with devestate, I don't think its possible.

In other news, Corat is a bundle of hurt. 1200+arcane shot crits every 5 sec. as well as having the ability to silence targets from afar. Corat's ranged DPS prepatch was 186. Even though I lost about 150 ranged attk power, my ranged DPS post patch is 202.7! That's a hell of an increase.

Sorry, I'm rambling and incoherent, but Christmas just came early :)

Gutka going back to dps, enough ppl willing to tank. I might actually start playing him for a week or 2 just to test out the new talent tree. 42 Arms spec.

This is pretty close to Averegor's spec. I accidentally assigned some points based on a lvl 70 spec I did and am waiting on the money to pay for a standard respec. Right now it's not worth it for just a couple "lost" points in resisting stun/charm.
