The Unoffically Official SSX Get-Together Thread(ver. 2007)

Post by requiemdreamer »

Some of us knew it was coming eventually. And I haven't seen a thread on this topic yet so here goes...

It's time again to start discussing our plans for an SSX guild get-together for the new year. This is a chance for all of us SSX members in the western hemisphere to step away from the mouse and keyboard and meet up in real life to have some fun. Last summer's guild get-together, though small, sounded like it went well and those who made it had a lot of fun. Short notice seemed to be a major problem before so I'm hoping to fix that by getting this started right now. The sooner we figure this all out, the cheaper airfare and accomodations will be, along with other things. We'll use this thread as a running attendance list and suggestion box. Be sure to check here for any changes or updates.

-----INFORMATION-----
Suggested Locations: (Florida, Las Vegas)
Date:
Accomodations:
Activities:

I think we're mostly split up all over the place. NY, TX, MI, VA, Canada, etc. I've heard ideas of Florida. Mmmm warm weather sounds good right now.

The intent wasn't to exclude non WoW players I'm sure... don't cry :)

Feel free to chime in if you think you can make it... :)

The intent was for all SSX members that can make it. Sorry for the misinterpretation.

I was actually referring to the part about this being posted only in the WoW - US forum, just giving ya crap :p . Otherwise I wasn't reading any exclusion ;)

On the other hand, it's a good way to get (some of) our other members off of their arses and keep in touch with all the groups. i.e. actually reading forums other than just their group (if they currently are in one), and general :nervous:

I suppose I should throw myself into the salad. Rhode Island ^.^ and available when time/school/studies permit.

Let's get some more suggestions going so that once we get a few more we can make a poll to figure out which place would be best.

Las Vegas is what I wanted last year and it still ranks number one on my list. Other ideas are Orlando and San Francisco. Disney, Sin City, or just a fun city!

P.S. Where in New Zealand do you live, Svarog? I was there a few years ago. Hoping to go back this summer or the next (your guys' winter).

Alright, you hosers need to get some more info in this thread before you drown yourselves in The Burning Crusade over in WoW.

Surely we have more than 8 or so people living in the U.S. that'd be interested in a party :weird:

How do you bump a sticky, anyway? :p

Groovin! Was at the London clam-bake and had an absolute blast (unfortunately the 'You Suck' tattoo Gryph gave me washed off). If its anytime between school terms and accessable (I'm in NY, but can reasonably travel), count me in. :thumb:
