Post by Sondemon »

As Outland forums are a bit dying and soon going to archive (I think anyways), I thought I'd share this with you lot :P

Thx for the link m8.

For a sec whilst reading throught the read I was like 'no way' are they nerfing Warriors again?!?!
Then I remembered a small little fact.
We got our lvl 70 talents early as a holiday gift from Bliz.

So right now we effectively have a few lvl 70 powers @ lvl 60.
It has made everything lvl 60ish easier (and in some cases faster).

Even PvP atm is crazy fast due to everyone being able to kill wikedly fast.
All of this will change and slow down once again after everyone is lvl 70 and has their tier 5 gear

Despite the title there is no real suggestion that a Pet could replace Warriors (or Dire Bears / Paladins for that matter) as Raid MTs. The point is that in this specific fight there is a bug/oversight/feature which means Pets are immune to the Locust Swarm - a fundamental feature of the encounter.

So either it was intended that Hunter Pets can Tank this Boss (Aggro lead maintained by the time the Raid spends killing the Guards) or far more likely it's going to be fixed soon.
I don't think they designed the room with that specific layout for anything other than the current kiting method in mind.

Whatever numbers you throw out about that specific pet, they won't touch a Tank Class for overall resiliance, aggro and overall ability.

Enjoy it while it lasts!
