targeting trouble

after the patch yesterday i noticed that ive been having targeting problems, like when i target a mob it doesnt show up next to the char portrait... its not so bad to have to double check to make sure im on the right mob, but i cant see the dots on the mob either

... is there any other way to see them?

This seems to be a pretty common problem and affecting a lot of people so I wouldn't be surprised if Blizzard puts out yet another patch to fix these problems very soon.

It would never occur to blizzard to check everything before releasing a patch.
