Possible STNY Gruul's Lair raid
I was speaking with Cata this week and it looks like STNY is trying to get enough people together to do a Gruul's Lair run.
Since STNY does not have the numbers yet and has always had very good relations with us, they asked if we would have any people who would be interested in going to Gruul's Lair.
The only requirements would be that your character is 70.
This is a 25 person run and would be just a bit longer than an Onyxia raid. There is not a specific time or date set up yet for this as it is still in the planning stage. Right now there are no class restrictions that I am aware of but I do know that alot of dps is required.
If you are interested please post here and what days you would be available to do this. I will coordinate with STNY and post here on the particulars on the raid.

I can't ever be totally sure when I'll be able to go. Not until school is over, at least. I'll make it if I can

If you are still interested in Gruul's Lair, STNY is running it this Saturday around 6pm server time.
I do not think STNY knows about how the whole breakoff went down. I know that they have been lacking people for the bigger raids and I think they are trying to gear up and bring in people to run them.
I do not think that there is any malice in what they did. I hope that it will be possible to maintain good relations with them. Even though it might have become somewhat awkward of late.
I am not trying to justify what happened just trying to look at the other side of the coin.

Just in case some people have misconceptions about what exactly happened with us and STNY, I will state the facts. Take from them what you will rather than other people's biased feelings.
I was asked by an STNY member if we wanted to join their ranks. We knew a few of them already and some of our members were formally STNY. It seemed in our best interest to merge with them.
Those are the facts, we were asked, we agreed. Simple. If you have something against those of us that left SSX, that's totally fine, you can hold your grudges as you will. STNY is made up of some good people. They would love to have some SSX members raid Gruul's lair if you guys can come and if the spots are open!
Cheers,
Joph
PS. Hope everyone is doing well and had a terrific Easter

What's done is done, I suppose. I'm curious about something you mentioned though.
And yes, Easter weekend was good

To stay and run with them for a while.... gain there trust and act like there friends then grab some of there members and then make another guild and make some lame excuse....Stracius wrote:What's done is done, I suppose. I'm curious about something you mentioned though.

.....wait im still trying to pull this knife out....
Oh and count me out for those runs, I mean i dont mind helping out STNY but if it has former members of Grey Goose youll get better luck asking a nun out for a date then having me helping them out.

Actually, I asked because I wonder if people even know what their own priorities are, not to stir things up
. Was just curious about what the case was here.

Bingo!QuantumDelta wrote:Enjoying the damn game the way they want to enjoy it.
Call me selfish, but I want to see the end game material I pay for. In a guild, when I tell my FRIENDS what I want to do, sometimes they tend to want to join me. As I stated before, those that came with me came out of their own will... why is that so hard to understand. I didn't coerce anyone; how can you in a game?!
But nay, it doesn't matter. I guess some people have their reasons to be bitter. Perhaps I needed to evaluate those relationships with some while I was in SSX. Instead of a pat on the back, thanks for the job you did while you were here, we will hate to see you go; I get flak.
That's all I'm going to say on the topic, take what you will. Good luck to those of you that have doubts, I have a feeling you won't be speaking to me for whatever reason.
I thought every one could keep everything professional, I guess not, Zepol. I will try to remain as adult as I can, it seems silly to employ sarcasm in posts like these.

Profesionalism went out the door when you basically used the guild and ACTED! like a friend! and not for anything why bother post if your going to try to defend your selfish personality.Jophiel wrote:I guess not, Zepol. PS: i am paying for the game so i can hang out with my friends, and help them out, while haveing fun with a couple of beers. To me its not a JOB!
SSX has alot of people that i care for, and YOU hurt there feelings including mine your on my S*** list in my book.

People want different things. That's the cue to take different paths.
If you want your content that you are paying for and you are expecting in the shortest amount of time possible, over and over we've said, this isn't the place for you. People who are here, are those that have different priorities than end game content and their personal quest progression coming first, or they manage to mesh one with the other to the best of their abilities, while still maintaining priority on the word that's on the banner.
I don't play your game, so I wouldn't know, but I hope nobody advertised this place to be any different than that.
Take care.

One thing about the use of the forums though: They're here for discussion and communication. Frankly it seems to me as though that hasn't happened much lately. Granted there's a tendency for people to get worked up about what's posted (with or without just cause), but mods are there for a reason.
Maybe it's just me, but I prefer seeing things put out in the open and gotten over with, rather than kept pent up and left to fester. Perhaps not pretty, but life isn't always either. Progress, I hope.

As long as people can keep a steady head on their shoulders and are careful about what they post, I totally agree with that. It's good for people to put things out in the open. Cloak and dagger politics are never good.

Here's my take on what happened. Just trying to clear up some questions, and hopefully remove some hostility.
Initially we wanted a group for pure raiding(more like a spinoff), and we just wanted to take one character out each, and the rest staying within SSX family. But we were told that we had to pull all chars out, which we understand why and we are fine with the decision.
We did raid initially, but we ended up lacking in attendence because of work or other reasons. Like I told many friends in WoW, I was moving to US for job training, and I basically disappeared from WoW for 3 months(and probs for many more months
).
We weren't able to go back to SSX, because all our alts were removed, and the environment has turned a bit hostile. When we got the invite from STNY, it just seemed like the best thing to do.
I still have many friends in SSX, and I hope it stays that way
.

P.S. If u guys forget me.....remember I'm the guy yuki said was cute

Are you kiddin' it's SSC(x)'s standard procedure to jump up and down on, and spit on anyone who leaves to follow their own direction - no matter what terms they leave on it's the default reaction.
I hate it.
And no I wouldn't for a second hesitate welcoming you guys back but I'm not playing there full-time, just on Marks' generous hospitality so I don't really get a say :P.
I think you probably had the 'right idea at the time' going from GG to STNY but I still think shame on you lot for offing from the group xP
Still, stuff is fixable, if people want to fix it.
A few have expressed an interest in wanting to return but the SSX side have to get rid of their resentment/frustration/feelings of betrayal and the other side need to do some peace making.
I love you all though, I do wish you just wouldn't fight.
And no Jacky, none of us have forgotten you <3
