I have been through Thief-Takers Bane at least 25-30 times. It is a fairly short but extremely challenging instance. I have been with 3 successful groups. Each successful group focused on dps and holding aggro off the rangers rather than heals. If someone died, we retreated ASAP instead of taking a revive.
A few days ago, Faernath, Gandalor, and Syro made the journey together at least a dozen times. We formed an initial group of any willing participants, but slowly replaced pick-up members until we found the right combination for us. Surprisingly, we did not have a single minstrel in the group when we successfully finished the mission.
Since I see groups constantly advertising for 2 minstrels, I thought I would share a tiny portion of our experience with you all without spoiling the thrill of figuring out! My first successful group had one minstrel, but that minstrel focused on dps and fearing mobs.
Happy hunting!
