I just got enough gold to get my steed....I ACCIDENTLY BOUGHT A PONY!

I am a man-captain and it is useless to me. If any member that is a dwarf or a hobbit that is about to buy a steed PLEASE chat with me and we can swap...you buy a horse and we trade.

...This is possible isn't it?

Or...I will sell you my pony for 4 gold (220 silver discount

)

Hang in there, Rev. I am sympathetic to your disappointment. I have made similiar buying mistakes in other games. It sucks to see hard-earned gold get flushed down the tubes. Nothing can take away the initial sting, but you will recover over time.

I am to blame. My excuses... 4th of July holiday, organizing parties in game, and helping peeps with long instances has made me a roster slacker in the forums. I will make it a point to get everyone posted on the roster this weekend. Yes, we have several new peeps.

Let me first introduce myself, I am Dave. I am totally new to MMORPGs. In fact LOtR Online is my very first.

The fact is, I just didn't pay close enough attention. I had no clue There would even be an option to buy an incompatible steed.

I now have only 1 gold and 400ish silver. So I will be hoofing it for a long time

I appreciate the offer for fronting me some cash for help...but 3g is a huge loan.

Live and learn.

BTW, I have never been in a kinship before. I was an FPS gamer all of my gaming experience. I am even now in an FPS clan. www.oldwarriors.org is our site. My nickname there is "SaSQuaTCH". We are between games though, and LOtR was an "experiment" for me because of that. I am really enjoying all of the kinship members I have met.

I just wish my first exposure to many on the forums didn't make me look like a doof like this thread LOL!

I dont play the game for anymore, but if I were you I would try to contact support, because you shouldnt have the option of buying an item not avaiable to you, kinda like if you dont have enough gold for something you cant buy it.

Like for world of warcraft, If i wanted to buy a mount from another class I would have to spend hours and hours to build rep with that faction and then I would be eligible for that buy, so you would have enough time to think about what your doing hehe

Yeah, I don't see why a GM wouldn't be able to exchange the items for you.

In SWG, I ticketed them about accidentally deleting an item, and they just put it back in my inventory 2h later.

Well, I stood at the stable for 30 mins immediately after I made the mistake...submitted a ticket, and was told they would not do anything.

They are not going to do anything about it.
