Time for Fun!!!

Post by Axavier »

Hey All,
Just thought I'd throw this out for suggestions and all. Feel free as I will need ideas.
I am going to start putting together guild fun runs for rewards on Sunday afternoons or evenings. Eg: Naked gnome runs, scavenger hunts, timed low level instance runs, and world races.
The rewards will consist of a pot of gold contributed by the officers. Later we may get into Profession made gear or things like that, but as I stated earlier suggestions are welcome.
The idea behind this is to get all members of the guild involved in something fun regardless of level.
I'm working this up coming Sunday night, but with some help and suggestions I'm sure I could help get something going for the weekend coming. I'll post what is going to be happening on this thread in the future. So keep an eye open for upcoming events.
Ciao for now,
"J".

Oh man. I read the post title and I was waiting to be mind-controlled...lol.

All those ideas sound great. (everyone start in Shatt..first one back with Van Cleef's head wins....)

As a blacksmith, I can only offer plate/mail for prizes, but as a miner, I have 2 bags full of gems, some of which i'd be more than happy to donate to a fun cause. Please let me know how I can help.

I say let the reward be a big fat keg o beer.

This Sunday we are going to try our first fun event. It is going to be a low level scavenger hunt across Azeroth. There is going to be a level cap of 20. This may change before then to 25, but the officers have to discuss it first. It will be all across the world so getting your flight paths in advance would be a help because if you don't you will fall behind...hehe.
The object is to be the first to leave Darnassus and collect 6 items that will be known to you all on Sunday and then be the first to return with them ALL to the starting point. The level cap is in place to keep it fair to guild members who don't have high level characters and most of the high level players have alts or could make one as this is well in advance of the event. Most of the items are from mobs between levels 10 and 20 so it shouldn't be difficult or too time consuming. Guessing an hour to two maybe. Remember this is all in fun so enjoy yourselves. Their will be a Potohgold at the end of the rainbow so good luck and good hunting.

Thanks for participating in advance,
"J".

From the input I've received and looking at the guild list of active characters and their alts, the level cap for Sundays event will be 25. The first to return to my character with all 6 items will win the gold. If anyone over the level cap wants to join in, no problem, just keep in mind the winner of the gold will be level 25 or under. The first over 25 to return with the items will get an escort through an instance from me if they want one, just so everybody has a chance at something.

Ciao for now,
