Call Waiting?

Post by Futile Resistance »

Quick question: In animes/drama, whenever the main guy character ends up with a "missing the phone call because the girl gets a busy signal"... What's up with that?

Do they not have voicemail/call waiting? Or is it a premium service that most customers don't feel like paying for?

Just something I was wondering...

One of life great mysteries? :p
Just remember what ol' Jack Burton does when the earth quakes, the poison arrows fall from the sky, and the pillars of Heaven shake. Yeah, Jack Burton just looks that big old storm right in the eye and says, "Give me your best shot. I can take it."

I don't know if they have voicemail/call waiting, but otherwise it might just be used as a plot device to conveniently stop a message from coming through :p
