I thought I would give you guys an idea of the type of bridges I usually design. In the background of this picture is a portion of the 2000' + long bridge that is currently under construction. The beams you see are 150' long x 7' tall and are about 50' off the ground. If you look close you can see two guys crawling around near the ends of the beams which helps give the picture a sense of scale. The crane is one of two different ones holding the beam in place while the guys up top tie it down. The dorky guy in the hardhat wearing the bright yellow vest is no one of any importance....
