I've had to ban a relatively narrow bot IP range this morning, as we were being scraped with approximately 2500 simultaneous connections which was putting strain on the server.
I don't believe this should affect anyone having looked into the IP range, but if anyone now has troubles accessing things give me a shout and I'll loosen the ban a little.

You might need to widen that a little. Had problems with the site loading, either only partially loading or going to a sql error too many connections. When I finally got it to load I saw there was over 500 guests (that number is steadily going down so I assume it was more earlier when I couldn't get on). It looks like we had even more on yesterday as they set a new record.
On a side note the first 3 pages of new members is basically all bots with links to their websites memberlist.php?mode=&sk=c&sd=d#memberlist

Given this and the DDOS issues we've had today I've now put in place a blanket ban on Chinese IPs for the timebeing. This will last until weekend when I'll have time to review the server logs and narrow this a little bit. I'll also clear out the accounts and review signup security at the same time.
I would hope there'll be less issues now. But if anyone sees crazy high guest counts again, or experiences server issues, please give me a poke on Discord and I'll take a look as a priority.
