Full Metal Alchemist: Conqueror of Shambala (movie)
Words cannot describe the awesomeness of this movie.
It continues right off the ending of the anime and completes the story, no bullshit, no time-wasting.
One of the best movies ever made to sequel an Anime show, if not, the best.
You guys won't be seeing it for a while I gather, but damn, this thing was class.
FMA = One of Best Anime Ever.

Hello hello!
Never even realized this existed, thanks for pointing it out. Off to find a good encode of it.
I don't know about all time best, but it's definitely in my top list ^^
edit add::
D'argh. This in theatres somewhere? Thought it might be a dvd release. Looked around and saw only a camcorder version. I'll go watch it in theatre before I stoop to that :P . Course, I'd rather do that anyway.

Argh, damn you. Now either I'm going to have to wait, or fly to Japan and hire myself a translator. Course, there's always the third option getting off my lazy ass and learning Japanese (always wanted to do that), but meh.
They always did say patience is a virtue. And if I could figure out who "they" are, I'd make sure they were drug out into the street and shot.

I'm gonna go ahead and disagree there.Brandonheat wrote:wasn't too happy with the ending. I won't spoil it for you, but it kinda left it up in the air.
*spoiler*
If they ended up in separate worlds without contact, it would invalidate the entire series and the movie, and the whole thing would be just stupid.
On the other hand, if they remained in the Alchemy World, the ending would be too much happy-happy-go predictable bullshit that you see almost everywhere where a positive ending is made.
By funnelnig the ending in the way that they did, the story isn't sour, but it isn't all that ideal either. It was the best ending they could've gone for, and it marks their lives as meaningful to the end and from the end, considering they're going to go after the atomic bomb and continue on their adventures "off screen style" (naturally, any subsequent movies and series wouldn't be "Hagane no Renkinjutsu" what with the lack of "Renkinjutsu" part, meaning they won't get made.)
Still, best ending they could've pulled. And the entire movie, condensing the story to end after a 51 episode run in such coherent fashion is an editer's masterpiece.

Yeah, I have to agree with you BD. I was a bit miffed about how open-ended they left the series at. The movie gives that nice bit of needed closure, as well as a hell of a story. All things considered I think it was the best ending they could've done as well. I was almost expecting them to end up where they left off at ep 51, but I'm glad they threw in that twist at the end

I thought it was a fitting ending for the Fma series, im looking forwards to see how the manga ends. For the ones who dont know the manga starts out
roughly the same till about chapter 30 after which it takes a completely different story line. The manga is still running also.
