See my post in the what are you doing thread. IF the two of you could post what you want to do and what you like to do it makes it alot easier to figure out a path to take, as well as what race you are. We have an office in Mies-Duvolla labs if you would like to drop an application so we can get you into the corp in game.
Alot can be learned by watching chats and getting on the TS server with us. Asking questions about this game is expected, as we all still do it, even those of us that have been in game for years. I do not know of anyone that could possibly have all skills maxed out for all races and types of gear, I would always say learning skills, better frigate skills to start, then decide a path and stick to it. my character has gone through several diff paths, and though I can do alot of diff stuff, those that specialize can kick me butt in most aspects, whether it be fighters, industry, miners, .... best to pick a path early and try to stick to it. Too many shiny object distractions can lead to useless training of skills you will not need, and then loss os training time for those that you do need.
P.S. My character was originally that of a friends friend who gave it up and hast passed to me after it was a few months old with all sorts of time wasted on areas not important. Spent alot of valuable training time to get him where he is today. This game is not easy, it starts out slow for everyone as you get the basic skills and ship controls down, but it starts to pickup faster as you go. So don't get discouraged, we were all there at some point.
