Interested In EVE...

Hi guys!

I'm finding myself more and more drawn to EVE online. For some reason I love reading about what people are up to, and the game just seems so... massive, that there are loads of things to do. Ever since I read the story of some guy scamming people IRL out of bagillions of money I've been tempted to play (not to scam anyone, just to see what it is like).

So, would you guys recommend that I tried it out? Do I just DL it from the official site, or...?

At the moment there is a 14 day free trial.
That would allow you to get a small feel for the game.
The initial learning curve is extremely steep,
so I'd suggest hooking up with Wedge et al ingame
to help with all the questions you are bound to have.

Well my curiosity got the better of me and I DL'd it. Started playing the tutorials and it seems good, if a little complicated. I'm Crem in-game, looking forward to hearing from some SSX soon!

Thanks! I played my way through the tutorial then jumped to the facility where our office is. I had to log off then but my ship is there, and I have put in a join request for SSX.

Do you guys have a chat channel ingame at all? Cos I've just reactivated my account (needed to start a new skill training) and whilst I can't join the corp itself (due to being in another corp, which I enjoy, that and you'd probably all run screaming to safespots if I entered local ^^) I'd still like to have a chat with you guys ingame.

Hmm... Hopefully you're still in-game, Crem. I'll begin an "SSX" channel if I manage to log in today. Originally there was one back in the day; but I think I remember that no one actually has it opened anymore. Gah. Sorry for the late reply.

There is another post about an ingame chat channel. Just scan back a few threads and you can get the one that was setup already. I would do it, but I am just feeling lazy atm and can't get links to threads to work for me anyways, not sure if I am just stupid or if my computer hates me at times. :smack:
