Thoughts on T2 RIGS

So rigs are the new "In thang" for EVE online. So far, only T1 BPO's are in game. I've been thinking along the lines of how to get the T2 rigs, and have come up with something:

1. make some T1 Rigs.
2. Use invention on a bunch of them until we come up with a T2 BPC to work with.

Now, I know this idea came up on the Eve online forums, but it's something I thought up independent of them. I think it's a real possibilty I'm going to follow up on.

Question: Does anyone have an idea of what rigs I should try to focus on? Or should I wait until I salvage a surplus of rig materials?

Or does anyone else have a better use for these salvageable materials? Should I hold on to them for some other purpose?

Just curious.
